Author's POV:
Larry and Mya was talking about a possible singing career over breakfast.

"Are you sure you want to jump in so soon? We have a son now." Larry asked.
"Sounds like you don't believe in me." Mya said.
"Nah, it's not that. I just wondered if you wanted more time." Larry replied.
"I don't need more time. I can still sing." Mya added and continued to eat.
"Okay, since your so serious about this...I'll make s deal with you. If you perform a song and do great, I will help you in being a successful singer. Deal?" Larry proposed.

Mya reached her hand out to Larry's and said,

"Deal."

The next day, Les Twins had a performance at the Apollo Theater in New York. Mya came along for support. Little did she know, Larry had a surprise for her. Larry invited the family and friends come too. They sat in the audience. Mya was backstage with Les Twins. Les Twins danced to Desiigner's "Jimmy Turner." Mya smiled as she watched them perform from backstage. Mya was proud to see Larry dance so well. This was the first performance Larry had since the incident. Laurent was so happy for Larry. At the end of the performance, Laurent and Larry hugged. Laurent whispered to Larry,

"I love you. You my nigga."

The audience continued to cheer until Les Twins walked off the stage. When Mya heard Gladys Knight announce it was Amateur Night, Mya knew right then she was being set up. Mya looked into the audience and saw her friends and the bourgeois family.

Oh no. Mya thought to herself. Mya had a run for the exit. But Larry caught her.

"Hey, hey, hey, where you going?" Larry kindly asked.
"You set me up. Why did you do this?" Mya whined.
"Because I knew if I had told you why you was really here, you would have came up with some lame excuse to not do it." Larry replied.

Mya folded her arms and rolled her eyes. Larry continued to explain.

"Listen, I love you and I believe in your dreams. But it's gonna take more then just me believing in you. You have to prove yourself worthy of this. If you can win over the most critical audience in America, there's nobody who can stop you. This is your chance. It could be your beginning or your end. The choice is yours."

The announcer called out Mya's name. The pressure was on. Mya quickly swallowed her fears and asked,

"What song did you give them?"
"A Christina Aguilera song." Larry said and shoved her on stage.

Mya stumbled a bit on stage and walked to the center of the stage. Laurent stood next to Larry and asked,

"Do you think this is a good idea?"
"It'll make her or break her." Larry replied while staring out to the stage.

Mya nervously approached the microphone stand. But when Mya heard the music, she let the music take control. Mya singed Christina Aguilera's Candyman. When Mya singed the line "he had tattoos up and down his arms. There's nothing more dangerous then a boy with charm," she gave Larry a sexy look. That made Larry smile and blush. By the second verse, the audience was clapping their hands. But Larry feared Mya wouldn't be able to rock the crowd. Mya danced and singed back and forth on stage. A few people cheered for her.

"Come on Mya. Make them stand on their feet." Larry nervously whispered to himself.

The moment Mya hit the highest note of the song, veins thrived to the surface of her neck, Bennie stood up and screamed,

"YESSSSS GIRL!!!"

Fiona and Denise jumped up and happily shouted,

"THATS MY GIRL!!!"
"SANG IT!!! YESSSS!!"

Laurent's jaw dropped as he shouted,

"OH MY GOD!!!"

Larry was so excited and overwhelmed with emotions, he fainted backwards into Laurent's arms. When Mya was done singing, she bowed her head and gave thanks. The audience didn't stop applauding until Gladys Knight began to speak.

"Mya, my goodness. Where did that big voice come from? You are incredible. You looked so comfortable on stage and your voice deliverance was outstanding. How long have you been singing?"
"Since I could speak." Mya replied.
"Hear me when I say this; you were born for this. I'll see you for round two. Y'all give it up for MYA!!" Gladys announced.

Mya waved and walked off the stage.

"You did it!" Laurent happily yelled.
"Thank you!" Mya said and hugged Laurent.

Mya approached Larry and playfully slapped his arm.

"Hey now." Larry said and rubbed his arm as if it hurt.
"What is wrong with you?" Mya complained with a smirk.
"A rock needs pressure to become a diamond." Larry replied with a seductive expression on his face.
"Hmm...mmm." Mya hummed with a smile on her face.

As they hugged, Mya thanked Larry. Larry whispered in her ear,

"Are we gonna celebrate?"

Before Mya could answer, Larry started to slowly grind on her thigh. Mya blushed and giggled. Suddenly, Larry stopped and said in a low voice,

"Oh shit."

Mya turned around and saw her dad, Dre. Mya turned to Larry and asked,

"Did you ask him to come? You know how he feels about me doing music."
"I didn't tell him anything." Larry replied.

Dre approached Mya with a straight face.

"Dad, listen, I know we have a difference in opinions. But God gave me this voice. I want to sing. And that's what I'm going to do. This is my decision and I..." Mya said and then was interrupted by one word spoken softly.
"Okay." Dre replied.
"Okay? What's that supposed to mean?" Mya questioned.
"Okay, if that's what makes you happy. I'm okay with it. When I watched you sing...it was like angel praising God. You're not a little girl anymore. You're a young talented woman. And I love you so much." Dre expressed with a smile.
"Aw, daddy. I love you too." Mya replied and hugged Dre.
"And Larry, if Mya comes to me at ANYTIME. And tells me that you hurt her...your ass is mine. You got me?" Dre said.
"You'll cut off my booty meat, sir!" Larry sarcastically yelled and saluted Dre.

Everybody laughed. Lisa popped up behind Dre and screamed,

"MY BABY! I'm so proud of you."
"Mama! I'm so happy you guys are here." Mya cheerfully replied.

Lisa gave Mya a bouquet of flowers. Mya won the second and final round of the Apollo competition. Larry kept his end of the deal and gave Mya a song he wrote months ago for her. With Mya's help, the song turned into a collaboration. The song is called "Forever More."

A/N: This video above is by Anthony David called 4ever More. If you've never heard this song, it's optional to play. But if you listen to it, imagine Larry singing the first verse. Mya singing the second verse and Laurent raps the third verse."

Mya became a successful pop and r&b singer.
