This is another scene that would have taken place during Larry's stay in the hospital. I choose not to use this scene because I knew that this would create more issues. With Larry in the hospital, I figured that was dramatizing enough. Enjoy.
Author's POV:
Mya walked in on Laurent playing the piano. Mya frowned at the awful sounds coming from the piano. Mya approached Laurent and asked,
"Why do you have a piano, if you don't know how to play?"
Laurent smirked while shaking his head and said,
"I can play the piano. It's been awhile since I've played. I've lost my skills."
"Maybe I can help you find your way." Mya suggested and sat next to Laurent.
Mya took her time in showing Laurent the keys on the piano. Mya thought Laurent how to play Janet Jackson's Nasty Boy. Mya cheerfully laughed as Laurent played the song. Laurent got cocky and said,
"I bet I can guess any song you play."
Mya played three different songs and Laurent guessed correctly.
"Oh yeah, I bet you don't know this one." Mya said and played this song,
"Oh wow, I know that one. It's hallelujah by Rufus wainwright." Laurent replied.
"Okay, sing with me." Mya asked.
(Play song)
Mya played the piano as Laurent singed. When they were done, Mya was surprised at Laurent's singing voice.
"Oh my god you are amazing. I didn't even know you could sing. Why don't you?" Mya asked.
"Because Larry has a softer voice then me. He's got that 'cross over' kind of voice. My voice is too deep." Laurent explained and looked away.
"It's not too deep. You have a strong voice. I'm sorry you feel that way. Help me finish the song." Mya replied and rubbed his back.
Laurent smiled and they continued to harmonize. At the end of the song, Mya and Laurent found themselves face to face.
(Stop video)
"Mya?" Laurent asked.
"Yes?" Mya asked as they stared into each other's eyes.
The moment was interrupted by the needy cries of Larry jr.
"I gotta go to ...to my baby." Mya stuttered as she ran up the stairs.
Laurent shook his head and whispered,
"What am I thinking about?"
