Neal: Office Troubles

You are standing behind your desk, resting your hands over it, Neal is at the other side with his hands in his lap and his head down. He's waiting for you to give him a practiced speech about how doing wrong things will only cost him more years with you. You take a deep breath and start talking, when you mention what he has done wrong he raises his head as you asked him to do.

-Neal, do you really want to...- the phone stops you, you take the call and make a waiting sign to Neal with a sarcastic smile

-What do you want? I'm kind of very busy right now!- you say angrily, a moment of silence enters the office while the other line on the phone talks 

-Hi mom! Sorry! How you doing?- you smile, a little ashamed for screaming at your mom, either she had just yelled back.

The conversation lasts a while and when you hang the phone Neal has his head down again, you ask him, now serious

-What is it? So you don't want to look at me, ah?- Neal raises his head slowly and when he reaches your eyes, your serious, killer eyes, he tries to contain his laughter but after a second, a little bit of it forms in his lips and then becomes a smile. You're trying not to blush (you have always thought of his laugh a very attractive one) he starts laughing harder but without even moving from his position and after a while you can't resist and join him.

The two of you laugh a while and then Jones enters, as he does, you stop laughing and go back to serious. After he finishes talking to you and leaves, you wink at Neal with a closed lips smile. He smiles back, showing teeth and takes the words out of your mouth,

-Your laughter's cute- now you can't avoid the blushing and feel the red of your cheeks, you turn back to face the window and wait for your cheeks to chill out. Once it's done, you turn back to Neal and finish your speech, this time more tender than before. All your anger has left the room because of the same man that brought it in.
