That night it was all dark and rainy. No, that's not the begging of this story, is not even the end. It started when you didn't know what to do, you were on the bridge of despair. He saved your life more than once in the past but this time, it meant so much more.

Neal Caffrey could do anything, he was your hero. Either keeping you away from men with guns or holding your hand on the hospital after you od. Neal forgave all your sins and made you feel good with yourself again. There was nothing you could do to make him love you less than he did and this made you happy.

That afternoon you found him drunk sitting on the edge of the Brooklyn Bridge. He was yelling something you couldn't understand, he looked broken.

"What's wrong darling?" you hugged him from behind, moving him away from the ledge.

"I'm not enough" he said almost choking on his own saliva

"How do you mean?" you Holded him even harder, petting his cheek with your warm hands.

"I don't deserve to be yours"

"Yes you do Neal, you're more than that, you're my live, my hero, my everything" both became quiet and he produced  drunk hicupp

"I don't deserve to be your hero either"

"Please don't say that Neal, you know you are and you deserve to be happy even more than I do"

"Say it as if you mean it"

"I have and you know"

"Say it again pretty pleeassee" he used a baby tone

"You deserve to be happy" you said as harder and truly you could

"Better, I love you Y/N"

"I love you too" he fell asleep on your arms, you kissed the top of his head and rested over the column separating you from the cars' lane of the bridge.
