Double Mistake

Chapter 10: Hello?

My eyes felt heavy almost like someone was forcing them shut, they slowly fluttered open as they tried to adjust to the lighting which was some what dim. Where am I? My body felt stiff as in if someone had put water mixed with clay on my body, I slowly bent my fingers. I feel like a decaying mummy.

"Hey she's waking up!" Someone yelled, my head was throbbing. I looked over to see flowers on a night stand, I saw a lady come in wearing a matching pink outfit. "Hello? Mackenzie how are you feeling honey?" She asked speaking slow. "I-i- eh I'm...where am I?" I asked. "You're in the hospital, you've woken up from. Coma after 3 months." She said smiling. "W-what h-happened?-" I asked but then a boy rushed in. "How is she?!" I asked running to my side, I kinda moved away from him a bit, who is he. "Hun we've got to talk outside real quick." She said walking the boy out with a hand on his back. I watched them through the glass doors, the boy was tall, tan, dark hair with blonde streaks in the front, mole on his chin, and brown eyes. He was getting mad while the lady talked to him, he ran his fingers through his hair, and then they came back in. "Mackenzie Hun do you remember what happened?" She asked as I went to sit up. "Ouch oh my god ow ow ow!" I said grabbing my stomach. The boy stood in the corner of the room just looking at me, his eyes were Buffy. Why was he crying? "What the hell if this?" I asked looking at this bandage that had blood on it. "Mackenzie don't touch that!" The nurse said. "You've been shot." Said the boy, then the nurse gave him a look. "Is it gonna scar?" I asked. "Yes." She said. "Sick." I laughed then I saw the boy kinda smile. "Do you know who this is?" The nurse asked pointing to the boy, "uhm-I uhm...he's he is...my friend...right?" I asked. "Correct." The nurse said looking at him and giving a nod. "Can I get something to drink?" I asked the nurse. "Sure what would you like?" She asked. "Do you know what I like?" I asked the boy. "She'd like coffee please, if there isn't creamer then use milk until it's like a Carmel color." He said, I smiled at him. The nurse left but then another boy walked in, he looked the same as the one that's my friend. I rubbed my eyes with my hands and blinked a few times, why's there two? "Grayson are you doing what the nurse said?" The boy asked. "Yes Ethan I'm doing exactly what she said." The boy growled. "Your name is Grayson?" I asked trying to think, "yea, and that's Ethan he's my twin brother." Grayson said. "That cool, wait are you my friend too?" I asked trying to remember the guy name Ethan as he looked at me. "Yea me and you are best of friends." He said sitting beside Grayson. "Wait come here." I said, they got closer to my bed. " lean in put your faces side by side." I said and they did it, I placed my hands on their face and then felt them. Then I trailed my fingers to their noses and stuck my finger up them and then put it too their mouths. They pulled away and spit, I sat on the bed giggling. "Oh my gosh." Ethan laughed.  "Grayson why were you crying?" I asked looking at his Buffy eyes. "I wasn't." He said. "I might not remember any of you but I do know when someone was crying, so tell me. I won't judge." I said yawning. "Because I was scared for you." He said but then the nurse walked in with coffee. "Here you go Hun." She said handing me coffee. "Thank you, hey did my parents visit?" I asked taking her hand. "I- Hun I've got to go I have a very sick patient I'll be right back." She said obviously trying to dodge the question. She left the room and then the boys just looked at each other. "My nails look so-" I said but then saw a needle in my hand. "No no no no no, get this out of me." I said panicking, I started freaking out. "Mackenzie calm down its fine." Ethan said. "No get it out! NURSE! NURSE!" I screamed. She came running back in, "get this out, I don't need it." I said. "Honey it needs to stay in." She said rubbing my leg. "I said get it out!" I screamed at her. "If you don't calm down we're gonna have to inject you with medicine to make you sleep." The nurse said. "Please just get it out of me." I pleaded. "Mackenzie it's going to be ok." Ethan said. "Here hold my hand." Grayson said taking my hand in his. "Ok ok I'm ok, I'm gonna be ok." I said nodding my head and trying to relax.
