I opened my eyes to see a room painted with light blue walls. I got up and went to the bookshelf, seeing manga of all sorts. This was great! I giggled in childlike glee. I began to open one and get lost in the world of Fairy Tail when I realized everything was eerily silent. Too silent. I looked towards the door of my room to see Ivan standing there staring at me. I gasped and dropped the book.

"Yao was right when he said you were beautiful, you know."

I didn't know what to say to that. It sounded like a compliment, but... what if he had ulterior motives behind that statement?

"Yao talked to you about me?" I asked calmly, though on the inside I was anything but.

I shuddered at the thought of being in Ivan's arms. Yao was fine (what?), and Kiku was a stretch (no!), but I had no intention of adding Ivan to my quickly growing harem. I scooted away from him instinctively.

Ivan crouched down so that he was looking directly into my eyes.

"If I were to make you ugly, would he still love you?"

I whimpered.

"Please, Ivan, leave me alone..."

He chuckled. "Since you're a country, anything I do to you will simply revert itself. But you would still feel the pain, da? And that's what matters." His eyes went from a light purple to a deep violet.

"B-but Yao said you couldn't t-touch me..." I whispered

"Since when could Yao tell me what to do?"

***

Yao was in the kitchen making dinner.

As sick as it was, it was a relief not being in the house all alone with Ivan anymore. It was sad that he would rather bring people into his suffering than suffer alone, but wouldn't anyone do that?

He finished stir frying the vegetables in his wok and set the table. "GUYS! DINNER'S READY, ARU!" England, Italy, and Hungary came down the stairs, still reeling at the fact of being separated from their friends and family.

That wasn't what China was worried about, however.

There was no sign of Cocoa or Ivan. He whirled around to face the other three. Italy had fallen asleep. Hungary was looking out the window.

England...

He looked really guilty.

"England! Have you seen Cocoa?" England didn't respond. "ARTHUR!" Yao yelled. England looked up.

"He forced me to soundproof the room with magic..."

Yao began to panic. Dashing up the stairs, he located Cocoa's room and flung the door open. Ivan was sitting at a desk, reading.

Cocoa was curled up in a ball on sheets that were soaked with a crimson red.

China covered his mouth with his hands.

"What did you DO, aru?!"

Russia looked up, excitement painted across his face. "I finally did it, Yao-Yao! It worked!" Yao looked on the desk. There was a contract on the table with five spaces on it. He knew his name was already on it. He had signed a long time ago. There was a new signature on the sheet.

Cocoa had signed her name on the sheet.

"I broke her, Yao-Yao. I broke her fighting spirit, da?" He laughed. "Would you like to guess who is next?"

Yao ignored him and ran over to the bed. Tears ran down his face as he saw the girl he loved. When she opened her eyes, they lacked the sparkle that he had known for the past one hundred sixty-five years. They were dull, uncaring.
