Just One More Hour...

Chapter 14: ... I'll never really...

    Lux comes over to sit next to me and pats me gently on the back. I jump a little and basically fall onto their lap whist I cry and wimper. 

Lux: " Shhhhh... it's okay Finny boy, it's all gonna be okay. We're all gonna be here for yah. Now you feel'n a bit better?"

Fin: " A-a l-little."

Lux: " Okay good... now then who's the one I have to beat for making you feel bad?"

Fin: " I don't know either me or that of my shitty past..."

Lux: " Okay Well let's compromise I'll lightly punch your shoulder and in exchange I get to take you out for ice-cream, deal?" 

Fin: " A monster like me deserves to die not have ice-cream... besides I'm just nothing but a waste of you time... and a waste of a human li-"

Lux: " Alright shut up Fin! For one you've done nothing wrong, for two you're not a fucking waste of anything, a-and three y-y-you need to s-stop talking about your self like that yah b-big dork! * Lux starts to cry heavily.* S-stop being s-so god damn h-hard on yourself w-will yah, we all f-fuck'n love Y-y-yah Fin!" 

Lux then breaks down and tightly hugs me. They all ways do this... if only they could know just how many people I've hurt... and just how much of a monster I can be... but if they knew then I'd have to run away again. If I ran away I'd be lost and probably turn back into that monster that I had been so long ago, and I don't want to hurt anyone anymore. I'm already a monster but at least I'm a monster with feelings right now. But if I left then who knows what I'd do... who knows if I'd still feel anything other than fear?

Twitch: " H-hey a-a-are you t-two ook?"

Fin: "yeah we're fi-"

Lux: " No you're not stop lieing Fin!"

Twitch: " L-lux is he h-h-having o-one of his m-m-moments again?"

Fin: " No."

Lux: " Yes, Yes he is." Lux at this point has stopped crying and is instead just frowning down at me while now holding me in the tightest of all possible bear hugs, obviously trying to restrain me.

Fin: " Lux could you at least let me breath?"

Lux: " No! Don't think I don't know your tricks for getting away from me!"

Fin: " You do remember that I'm in fact stronger than you right Lux?"

Twitch: " L-lux a-a-at least let's l-let h-him sssay go-goodbye t-to his se-semie conscious co-workers before we d-drag him b-back to our apartment."

Lux: " Fine but you have to catch him this time."

Lux then let's me go and I immediately start running to their rooms at top speed. I go to David's room first, then Mia, and take a little break before going in to say goodnight and goodbye to Karry. But just as I start walking in Karry starts to speak.

Karry: " F... Fin? Is that you?"

I immediately rush over and end up nearly knocking over a small chair in the process.

Fin: " Yeah I'm here, I'm here." I say rather excitedly seeing as she's more awake then the others.

Karry: "Oh...O...k...F-......Fin? Wh-why does my chest hurt?"

Fin: " Well um... you...were...um...kinda shot through the heart Karry."

Karry: " Oh...Fin?" 

Fin: " Yeah Karry?" 

Karry: " Am...I...am I dead?"

Fin: " N-no! Karry and you're gonna be just fine okay?"

Karry: " Oh okay...then......Fin...............g-goodnight..."

Karry then closed her eyes, and then her pluse started to slow down a bit too quickly and I ran at full speed and grabbed the closest possible nurses and took them by the hands as I told them about what was happening while I pushed them into Karry's room. The nurses then thank me and tell me that I have to leave, and I do so reluctantly and rather slowly. Anyways I go back to David's room and sit in the guest chair. The nurses say that they're going to be keeping him for a few overnight checks, considering that his heart was beating at an unusual they want to be sure he's not suffering from heart problems. Rachel walks into the room, and another memory from back then hits me.

Thug 1: " Please kid, you couldn't take us."

Thug 2: " Yeah you're going waaayyy outta your league." 

Thug 1: " yeah you should just give up."

Thug 2: " Yeah kid just let us have the girl and no one has to get hurt."

Young Rachel: " P-please don't go! I-i don't wanna die!"

Thug 2: " You'll shut your trap if you know what's good for yah princess!"

Thug 1: " Now then kid how 'bout you run along and don't tell no one like the good little boy yah are? I might even give yah a real pretty penny to forget about this ok?"

Young Fin: " No."

The first thug bolsters a small dagger in their pocket.

Thug 1: " I'm sorry I don't think I heard you right kid. Mind repeating?"

The young Rachel faints and the second thug puts her down and gets ready to basically punt the younger me into anything near by.

Young Fin: " I...( Fin steps closer and pulls out his switch blade.) said...( Fin gets much closer while both thugs freeze up.) NO!"

I then run up to the first thug and stab them in the throughout whilst moving Quickly towards the other one.

Thug 2: " W-wait y-you're th-the...(young Fin stabs the thug and they produce an ear piercing scream)"

I move Rachel a fair bit away and burn everything that had been around the park, including my shoes. I Then shed my outer shirt and jeans leaving them for the fire. I walk home to the junkyard in my oversized t-shirt and, and cut up jeans shorts.

I just then realize that I'm sitting completely silent, shivering, and wide eyed. The only reason that I come back to reality is because  Rachel is sitting in front of me lightly shaking me and telling me to snap out of it. I sit up a bit more and hope that I hadn't said anything from my flashback. I don't want to be that monster ever again. But for some reason I feel like I might have to be... THAT... again if run into those murders any time soon.
