Shame washed over her as she realised how she must have looked and in that
moment she needed to be alone. As her gaze met that of the boy who crushed her
hope all those years ago, she felt more than ashamed of how she reacted.
"Fuck off Sam." Then she stood, leaving Sam and Cade together, she escaped to the
bathroom.
"Hi I'm -"
"Sam, yeah I know who you are." Cade desperately wanted to chase after her but
he thought she might need a minute. He kept his eyes firmly on the bathroom door
she had barrelled through, hoping at any moment that she would emerge and save
him for the man that had seated himself at their table.
"Now man, I don't mean to be negative, but there are some things that you don't
know about her. She's a real weird one, definitely one to steer clear of." Cade sat there
with his mouth hanging open, he couldn't believe the words he was hearing. Leaning
closer Sam continued "We used to go out, like really long-term dating, romance, future
and all that stuff and then one day she shows me this entire shrine she has hidden
away in her bedroom. She's a total freak. You won't even suspect her but man, it's
crazy, she's into her best friend, like total mad psychotic, obsessive stalker, you know?"
"Actually yes I do. She told me and she showed me about two weeks ago." Sam
looked slightly confused for a second. "But aren't you here together? Don't you care that you girlfriend loves someone
else? Or are you with her for something else? Was I missing something when I broke
up with her? Do you like that if given a chance she would put out for her best friend
but not for you?"
In his mind he silently apologised to Toni for any feelings she may still have for this
pathetic excuse of a human being and then he swung his fist as hard as he could
directly into the face of the idiot who sat close enough to catch it.
