The school day passed without any further mishaps. I hadn't passed Kaleb's note on. Instead, I intended on meeting him at the tree myself. But before that could happen, I needed a few things.

Quietly, I crept into the faculty room. On one wall were a few hooks with keys on them. I glanced at the clock before shuffling through the keys.

I have six minutes until the teachers start appearing.

My fingers fumbled through the keys.

Library, second floor bathrooms, computer lab, nurse's room...

My fingers found the key I was looking for and I tucked it into my pocket. As I left the faculty room, I was spotted by the Honors English teacher.

"Mr. Schull, what were you doing in the faculty room?" His voice boomed down the hallway, stopping me in my tracks.

"I was looking for my mathematics teacher. I didn't quite understand the lesson today," I explained, looking up at him.

"Mrs. Dellinger is in her classroom. Stay out of the faculty room. If I find you in there again, I won't be so nice," The English teacher warned me.

"Yes, thank you," I nodded before hurrying away. I rushed down the hall before bumping into someone.

"Ugh! Watch where you're going!" I heard the other person hiss. I gathered my bearings before sending a glare at the other person. How lucky for me, it was Jayden.

"Sorry," I said, trying not to spit my words out in disgust, "I was actually just looking for you."

"Why?" Jayden raised an eyebrow.

"I was told to retrieve you for someone," I replied simply.

"And who sent you?" Jayden asked.

"She doesn't want you to know quite yet," I nearly yelled.

"She?" Jayden smirked, "I guess I'll follow you, then." I rolled my eyes before walking. Jayden kept asking me questions about the girl I had made up, which was beyond annoying. When we finally reached the northwest storage closet, I couldn't have been happier.

"Go ahead," I said, opening the door.

"In there?" Jayden pointed into the dark room.

"That's what she told me," I shrugged.

Jayden huffed before marching in, "Fine."

I gave him a quick shove from behind before closing the door and locking it from the outside. Jayden yelled and banged on the door, but I doubted he would be found. No one ever visited the northwest wing after school ended.

Now that Jayden was settled, it was time for my 'date' wth Kaleb.
