Music.
You need an escape of reality, something that will just... I don't know. Calm you, take you back from everything, and not just One Direction and how they want that one thing. Although sometimes it's catchy and you sing along, dancing with a microphone hairbrush (or is that just me?), you need something that you can just close your eyes and... breathe.
Songs (be warned, a long list):
1) Panic! at the Disco.
- This is Gospel. Although the song might take a bit adjusting to the voice effects, well, the chorus is something that you can replay over and over again.
- Far Too Young To Die. *really reccommended* The chorus is simply amazing and you can replay it so many times you'll know every lyric off by heart and spend hours lying in bed with your earbuds in your ears (or is this just me too?)
- Casual Affair. Late, in the atmosphere....A casual.....Affair. The chorus is powerful and you'll want to blast this in your ears.
- I write sins not tradegies. It's a bit more, undepressing, a song you kind of want to rock out to. (seriously, the microphone thing is just me?) It takes you away from reality just the same.
- The End of All Things. Simply...it could sway you back and forth from beauty. The violin and the piano just make it...amazing.
2) The Script
- Nothing. The first two lines just show you how much you know they felt pain too.
- Bullet from a gun. It has a nice guitar, but the chorus just hooks you in with it's true lyrics that are just enough to make you listen to it for hours.
- Exit wounds. Love the beginning, enough said.
- Six degrees of seperation. the chorus is the six stages of breaking up, and when you get past the amazing tune you'll find the lyrics mean something too.
- The Man Who Can't Be Moved. Ah. *really reccommended* Everybody will like it.
3) Imagine Dragons
- Radioactive. Powerful, amazing, no words.
- Demons. We all feel this way sometimes.
- Bleeding Out. One of my favorite songs on the album, I really don't know what to say other than hear it.
- Amsterdam. Some parts take a bit to get used to, but then you'll listen to the whole and be like, damn, this is an amazing song.
- Hear Me. Everytime I hear the lyrics, breathe right, and come back, I get chills.
4) OneRepublic
- Stop and Stare. The lyrics are so meaningful, so truthful, and the voice that sings it, well, one of my favorite songs.
- Missing persons 1 and 2. Oh, the instrumental parts.... *really reccommended*
- Marching On. It's upbeat and a meaningul song, best things ever.
- Counting stars. You can sing to it all day, you'll forget about everything around you. Amazing.
5) Coldplay
- Fix you. Enough said.
- Paradise. This is an amazing song, it's too good to describe.
- The Scientist. Oh my Lord, *really reccomended* listen to this please too.
- Viva la Vida. I'm sure everybody has heard this one, so it's such a great song, I don't feel the need to tell you how great it is.
6) Singles
- Come on come on by Morgan Lawrence... a nice ukalalaaaa or however you spell it, the kind of song that cheers you up. A nice "happy ending" song.
- This Is What It Feels Like by Armin Van Buuren. This was my favorite song for a record of a whole month. When I listen to a song, I have it on replay 24/7 until I find another song I like too and play that instead. I love this song.
- Gunnin by Hedley, or Trip by Hedley too. Makes you breathe easier.
- Sail by AWOLNATION. I'm running out of things to say because every song is amazing listed here.
- You by Approaching Nirvana. It's instrumental and fluent and will make you forget time is going, it moves you in eventually. Stop paying attention to every little note and listen to the whole. I kept this on replay and thought I only listened to this song twice but ended up seeing that this way on replay for two whole hours.
- Crossfire by Brandon Flowers. So powerful and will give you goosebumps, oh Brandon Flowers, how you can sing.
- Endlessley by The Cab. You will love the song endlessly. Same with the song, Bad (a bit demeaning to some but great tune).
- Where The Streets Have No Name by U2. It's an old band, and takes a minute to get into the song, but fast forward halfway through and love it.
