This is a poem by @poetryandpeace, she's an amazing poet :)
Emotions entwine us
They bind us
One by one,
We come undone,
Oh, isn’t life fun?
Acid filled lies surround us,
They urge us to cry
Society wants us to lie
And be unhappy with the way we are,
But who knew it would go this far?
Beauty isn’t about makeup
There is no need to fake it
Be yourself
And I promise you’ll be better off than anybody else
Emotions are around us,
They surround us
But they won’t be used against us
We need to learn how to love and trust,
And start loving ourselves more
You’re meant to be more than okay
So I’ll smile at you and say
You’re beautiful
Don’t let society define you
You can do anything you set your mind to
Emotions surround us,
One by one,
But we won’t let ourselves come undone.
