"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN HERE!? IT'S 4 IN THE MORNING, SHOULDN'T YOU BE ASLEEP?"

"Calm down, I've seen boobs before, nothing new." He said nonchalantly, "also, I was on my way to bed when I heard you scream, I was making sure you were alright."

"I didn't scream, I squealed, there's a difference, and I'm fine. I don't need you saving me anyways. You can leave now."

"Fine. Whatever. Night" he walked out slamming my door.

I continued getting my night clothes on and laid down in bed just thinking about how much of a jerk Kyle is. Didn't take long at all for me to see the real him. Probably just like his mother, from what I hear.

I woke up at about 12:00 PM and checked my phone. I had 30 missed calls and 3 texts from Avery. I didn't bother reading her texts, I just immediately called her.

"Hello?" She answered sounding really sad.

"What's wrong, Avery?? Is mom okay?"

"Mom's fine... it's Neeko."

"Oh my gosh, is he okay?"

"Oh, yeah, he's fine. We broke up today... about 2 hours ago."

"WHAT?! Why?"

"I don't know, he didn't tell me. He just called me and told me he couldn't be with me anymore."

"I'm so sorry sis. I wish I was there to comfort you."

"I know. I need you."

"Maybe mom will let you come visit soon." I said, sounding hopeful.

"I hope so, I'll talk to her about it later. I have to get going, I'm going to try to call Neeko and talk to him. I love you."

"I love you, too. Talk to you later."

Hopefully Avery  talks mom into letting her come up in the near future. Now all I have to do is wait for Jay to text me. I wonder what we're going to do today. I got up out of bed and looked through my closet. I definitely need to go shopping. All of my clothes are so outdated. I got a lipstick red ruffle spaghetti strap crop top and some black skinny jeans. I put on a pair of matching Nikes and headed over to my vanity. I decided to do something with my hair today. I put it in a half up half down style type thing and let my natural curls flow over my shoulders. I did my makeup routine and headed downstairs to get something to eat.

"Good morning, hun. You look beautiful today. Special occasion?" I heard Amanda ask as I walked into the kitchen. She was in there with my dad and Kyle.

"Thanks," I said without looking at her. "And yeah, I kind of have a date in a few."

My dad looked up from his paper, "A date already? You've only been in California for a day."

"Well, what can I say dad? When you got it, you got it." I flashed him a fake smile.

"Just be careful, I worry about you, you know."

"I know, daddy. I will." I replied.

"Well, if it's with who I think it is, there will be no careful involved. Jay will break your heart, Ava, I've told you this already." Kyle blurted out.

"Kyle, we're just friends. Now quit making up bullshit before you give my dad a heart attack. I can't have him die, he's the only person I can tolerate in this hell hole."

"What happened between you two?" Amanda asked looking at Kyle and me curiously.

"Long story." I said before my phone buzzed. "Oh, that's Jay. He's on his way. I'll be waiting for him outside. Love ya, dad." I said as I pecked my dad on the cheek, grabbed some toast and walked out the door.

As I was standing outside waiting for Jay, Kyle came out.
