Jay and I got to my house in almost an hour and a half. After we made it into the driveway, he didn't even have time to stop the car before I jumped out and ran inside. I found Kyle sitting on the couch in the living room watching a movie like nothing was even wrong with my dad.
"Kyle, what the hell? Where's my dad?! What happened?!" I asked frantically.
"Calm down, he's fine. There's really nothing wrong with him. I just wanted you home. You've been gone too long."
"WHAT THE HELL? WHY WOULD YOU LIE ABOUT SOMETHING BEING WRONG WITH MY DAD?! WHAT KIND OF SICK PERSON ARE YOU?" I yelled at the top of my lungs.
"I missed you." He said, getting off of the couch and coming up to me wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Get off of me!" I protested.
"Nah, you feel great in my arms."
I tried to wiggle my way free but he was just too strong. Jay suddenly came into the house, he probably heard me screaming at Kyle. Next thing I knew, Kyle was laying on the ground, Jay on top of him.
"What's wrong with you, dude? Leave her alone. She doesn't like you like that!"
"She totally liked it. She's just confused because I'm her step brother, that's all."
He was so wrong. Sure, I felt something for him before and after I knew he was my step brother, but as soon as I found out he was such a scum bag, my feelings for him totally changed. Jay got off of Kyle and grabbed my arm, taking me out to his car. I kind of, in a way liked that boys were pretty much fighting over me even if one of them wasn't really sincere about it.
"You're staying over at my house tonight Ava, we have an extra bedroom that you can sleep in." Jay said as we got out to his car.
"But, I have nothing to wear. I definitely am not wearing this same outfit tomorrow."
"Don't worry. I have a sister, she's about your size. You can wear something of hers."
"Okay, I guess. Let's go." I looked at him and smiled.
I texted my dad as we were driving away and told him I was staying the night with Jay's sister. I knew if I told him the truth of why I was staying over there, he wouldn't believe me. Because one, he would never let me stay the night at a boys house and two, he would never believe Kyle tried to do what he did.
"Jay, what if he comes to your house and tries to start stuff?"
"He won't, I'll tell the guard not to let him in. It's okay." he looked at me reassuringly.
We got to Jay's house, it was so much more beautiful than Kyle's, and I didn't think that was possible. Jay's mom was still at work and his father was in his office doing paperwork, so we couldn't bother him. He took me upstairs to the guest room. The room was way bigger than the room I had at Kyle's. I was kind of jealous.
"Wait here, I'm going to see if my sister, Londyn, is here."
"Alright." I said, laying down on the big comfy bed, "I'll be here."
He walked out of the room and I took in how beautiful this room was for being the guest room. It had an ensuite bathroom, a huge flat screen tv mounted on the wall, the bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever laid in, and the pillows were down filled, my favorite. Jay was gone for about 5 minutes before he came back with a handful of clothes.
"What's all the clothes for?" I laughed, "I just need something to sleep in and something for tomorrow."
"Well, Londyn is doing her homework, but she said she was giving all of these clothes away anyways, so you can have them." He smiled.
"Really? Most of these clothes still have the price tags on them!" I shockingly replied.
"Yeah, she's weird with her clothes. She goes shopping about every other week, and when she does, she cleans out her closet."
"Wow, well tell her to donate all of her clothes to charity." I said, laughing and pointing at myself.
He laughed as well, "Will do! Go ahead and get something more comfortable on, I'll be over in the game room. Come find me."
He walked out of the room and I went through the clothes Londyn gave me. I wonder how old she is. She can't be that much younger than Jay and I, because we're the same size, but she also can't much older either because she still lives with her parents.
There was the cutest baby blue romper in the pile so I just decided to throw that on and head on my way to look for Jay. I walked down the long hallway trying to guess which room he was in. I knocked on one of the doors and a girl opened it. I'm guessing it was Londyn. She looked about 18, she was gorgeous. She had long blonde hair and hazel eyes. The total opposite of Jay.
"Hey, sorry, I was just looking for Jay... he's in the game room. I didn't mean to bother you." I said awkwardly.
"Don't worry about it," she flashed me a smile, "I'm Londyn." She extended her arm out for me to shake her hand.
"Ava." I smiled, shaking her hand, "Thanks for the clothes!"
"Oh, no problem. That romper actually looks great on you." She said eyeing me up and down.
"So, could you help me out and tell me where the game room is?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's down the hall a little more. Second to last door on the right. I would love to join you, but I have tons of homework to do. See you later."
"Bye, thanks again." I smiled as I started walking down the hall.
I reached the game room finally. Jay was sitting in a chair facing away from the door talking on his phone. I didn't want to disturb him so I just stood there quietly. "Yeah... she's amazing. I know... Yeah... Oh, I'm trying... Ok... Talk to you soon, man..." I overheard his side of the conversation. I so wish I could hear the other side. Who was amazing? Was he talking about me? And what's he trying to do? I wanted to know, but I didn't want it too seem like I was eavesdropping, even though I totally was. I cleared my throat to let him know I found him.
"Took ya long enough! I was beginning to think you'd never find me." He said jokingly.
"Sorry, I kind of ran into your sister. You guys have too many rooms up here!"
"It's all good! I was kidding. Was Londyn nice to you?"
"Yeah, she seemed pretty nice. She's not one of those girls who's all sweet to you in your face, but then acts like a total fake after you're gone, is she?"
"She is, but she wouldn't be towards you, I promise." He laughed, "anyways, enough about her, let's play some games!"
We played a couple games of pool, which I won all of them. We played air hockey, multiple dancing games on the kinect, and we played his wrestling games, which he had no idea I was a fan of. It was so amazing that he likes wrestling too. I never had any friends that like it. I'm glad I met Jay, he's like my other half already.
It was now about midnight and I was getting pretty sleepy. He walked me to the guest room and then made his way across the hall to his room. I did my nightly routine; took a shower, brushed my teeth, you know, all that good hygiene stuff. I laid down on the comfy bed and pulled out my phone to call Avery. I got no answer though. Maybe she made up with Neeko. I put my music on and slowly drifted to sleep.
I woke up at about 8:30, it was way too early for me to be awake, but my grumbling stomach wouldn't let me sleep any longer. I went into the bathroom and washed my face to wake up a little bit. Then, I quietly made my way to Jay's room to let him know that I'm starving. I would feel odd just going and helping myself in the kitchen, even though I know his mom and sister.
I knocked on his bedroom door and when he didn't answer I figured maybe he was still asleep. So I decided to slowly creep my way into his room and give him a surprise wake up. Except little did I know, I would be the one surprised.
