I opened his door to see him fooling around with some girl. I was utterly shocked. I mean, we're not a thing or anything, we're just friends, but that doesn't mean I don't like like him. You can't bond with me over food and wrestling and expect me not to like you! I must have been standing there for a few minutes without realizing because once I snapped back into reality, the two of them were just staring at me. I noticed the girl from the party, she's one of Kenzie's friends, figures.

  "Uh-Uh, I'm so-sorry... I'll go." I stammered.

I walked back to the room I was staying in trying to hold back tears. I shut the bedroom door and put my music on, music always calms me down. Ironically enough though, a song from my playlist came on, it's called "Now I Lay Me Down to Cheat" by David Allen Coe. I started laughing, even though he technically isn't cheating on me. I just thought it was funny, and it kind of brought me out of my sour mood.

I decided to get ready for the day. I found the cutest plunging lace bodycon dress. There wasn't many comfy type clothes in the pile Londyn gave me, so I pretty much had to dress like I was going to a party. I wore my hair up in a ponytail because I just didn't feel like doing it, and I didn't bother with any makeup today. About 5 minutes later, I hear a knock at the door.

"It's open." I yell from the bathroom.

"Hey, Ava, you okay?" It was Jay.

"I'm fine, why wouldn't I be okay?" I asked coming out of the bathroom and sitting on the bed.
He looked at me in sort of amazement. I knew I put this outfit on for a reason.

"I don't know, I just figured, you know, catching me with Gabriella..." He trailed off, still looking at me. Kind of like the way Kyle looked at me the day I got home from the airport. Gosh, what is it with these California boys?

"Jay, calm down. We're not dating. We're just friends, that's it. I'm fine." I said trying to hold back my tears and act strong.

"Are you sure? I can go in there and break it off with her... I feel bad."

I kind of laughed to myself, hoping he didn't hear me. She's still here? So if I didn't tell him to break it off, he'd pretty much just go back in there and fool around with her some more?

"I mean, it is kind of rude of mess with someone while you have company over. You could have at least waited until I left to call her over. Don't you think?" I asked sounding cocky.

"For someone who's fine, you seem pretty upset. I'm sorry, Ava. Really, I am."

"I'm fine, Jay! Really, I am." I replied mocking him. "Now, if you don't mind, I'm hungry. So you go ahead and go back to your little girlfriend, and I'll go make myself feel even more awkward by raiding through your fridge."

Before he had time to reply, I was already halfway down the stairs. I tend to walk pretty fast when I'm mad. I found my way to the kitchen and Londyn was in there making herself a bowl of cereal.

"Wow Ava, you look pretty amazing in that dress, maybe even better than I looked in it," Londyn smiled at me. "What brings you down here without Jay?"

"Well, I went to wake him up because I was hungry, and when I opened his door, I see him in there, doing you know what, with another girl."

"Typical Jay. I'm sorry hun. Want me to make you some cereal? It's pretty much all I know how to make." She laughed.

"Yeah, sure. I would offer to make something, but like you, I'm no cook either. I leave that up to my twin sister." I sighed.

"Oh, a twin huh?" She got a weird look on her face, then snapped back, "but what's the sigh for?"
