Spoiler alert: I'm not free.

I went to my doctor yesterday and had an out-of-brace x-ray. Which meant the day/night before, I had to be without my brace.

When I got there they took my height, the usual, and said I was 170 centimeter which is 5 feet and 7 inches. That means I grew 2 centimeters since January. Not good. But, my doctor didn't want to believe that so they measured me again. This time, 169.5, still not good.

So in order to take your brace off, at least during the day, you have to show no growth between 2 appointments, mine are 6 months apart. Usually that's around 2 years after you're first menstrual period. Apparently I 'bend the rules' because 2 years would've been yesterday.

Basically I have to keep wearing it for at least 6 more months, which means another hot and sweaty summer.

I honestly didn't know what to think when he first told me that, but now I'm sad and angry about it. I wore that 'thing' for over 2 years. I know some people wear it longer and I applaud you. But I wore it more than 23 hours a day every single day, as tight as the velcro would go. I don't understand why everything is going iNcOrREctLy.
