J: And you believed naman na crush kita?

M: Hindi 'no! Wala naman akong mapapala sayo.

J: (pinches Mika's cheek)




At this point, I couldn't help but gush over the two. They made bickering look so adorable and fun to watch!!!

How long til you became friends? Because it's no secret that you guys were best friends first before you became lovers.

J: We went to the same school in elementary. That's where things slowly changed.

M: (nods) Alam mo yung mga batang nam-bubully ng iba? Be it a group of girls or isang guy na mahilig lang talagang mang-asar... I got to experience that. I was too tall for my age kasi. Actually mas matangkad pa ako sa kanya noon (points at Jeron). And ang ironic lang, kasi nga siya yung nang-aaway sakin sa bahay. But when we came to school, parang he appointed himself as my bodyguard or something.

J: I don't know. We were only seven...? Or eight years old then. Pero at that time, I just never wanted to see her cry. (smiles at Mika and I just died)

--- Flashback ---





"Kapre!!!"

"Here we go again.", Mika thought.

"Bakit niyo ba ako inaaway?", she shouted back at some of her classmates. They were the reason she did not enjoy recess and lunch time.

"Kasi ikaw si baby damulag! Baby damulaaaggg!", a girl named Debbie kept on mocking her.

Mika did not now what to say. All she wanted was to eat her lunch in peace. Her mother taught her to always be kind and talk to their teacher instead if anything bad happens.

"Isusumbong ko kayo kay Teacher Belle, sige!", she warned.

"Edi mag-sumbong ka! Sumbungera! Iiyak na yan! Iiyak na yan!"

The bullying went on.

"Mas matangkad ka pa sa magiging asawa mo!"

"Wala! Wala nang magkakagusto sayo! Kawawaaa!!!"

Mika was about to burst in anger when she suddenly heard the voice she knew so well.

"Hoy! Bakit niyo inaaway si Ye! Siguro wala kayong pagkain! Lalo siyang di mag-shashare ng food sa inyo!", Jeron shouted.

"Ano ba 'tong sinasabi ng singkit na 'to?", a frown formed on Mika's face.

"Bakit mo ba yan pinagtatanggol? Sama ka na samin, Ron!", Debbie said. Mika knew that the girl had a crush on Jeron.

"Ayoko nga! Lagot kayo sa akin pag inaway niyo si Mika. Alis na!"

The group of boys and girls left and went to the table in one corner of the canteen.

Jeron sat across his childhood friend and started opening his lunchbox.

"Ok ka lang? Wag kang maniwala sa kanila.", he began.

"Bat ka ba nandito? Ang dami-dami pang tables o!"

"Sinasamahan ka. Ang sungit mo naman, sinave na nga kita eh."

"At bakit? Para ikaw naman ang mang-asar sa akin, ganon ba?!"

Jeron took his first bite and showed her his boyish grin.

"Oo."

"Shoo! Shoo! Shoo!", Mika kept on slapping his arm.

"Joke lang, joke lang!"

Jeron put down his utensils and stared at his neighbor.

"Alam mo... You don't look like a kapre naman eh.", he said.

Mika glared at him.

"Kumain ka na nga diyan!", she commanded.

"Don't worry. Sabi ni Mommy, darating din daw yung time na I'm going to be taller than you. Edi hindi ka na mas matangkad sa magiging asawa mo."

"ANO?!"

Sarreh slow update, ang hirap kasing mag-shift ng emotions from Reset to here XD Kaya nag-focus muna ako sa pagsusulat ng sad chapters XD This one's very very light lang :) Feeling ko si Mika forte niya romcom tapos si Ara eh drama haha jk! But of course, they can do both hahaha
