More of Them Appear

I looked dreamily at her icy green eyes until fading back to reality. I told her, "Um.... My name is Travis." She smiled at me. I had forgotten what I had come to do. I turned red and looked down at my feet. Summer ran up and yelled, "Hey crazy! What the heck are you doing?" She looked up at Winter and said, "My name is Summer! Sorry about my crazy friend." Summer smiled. Winter looked surprised and told Summer, "Hey! My name is Winter! We're opposites! La-la-la-la-la!" Summer looked at Winter like she was crazy.

Winter turned toward the fountain and bent down next to it. She put her hand in the bottom pool of water and dragged it through. She plopped her hand out and the whole bottom pool of water turned to ice. I stared at her in amazement. "Huh? W... How did u do that," I asked. She closed her eyes and smiled. "Magic!" she said happily while waving her hands back and forth in front of her. "You're an elemental," I said confronting her.

Her smile melted to a mask of absolute surprise. "It's ok," I told her, "Don't freak out." I bent down to the ice in the fountain. I put my hand close and I shot a small flame at the ice from my finger. Eventually, it caused all the ice to melt back to water. Summer caught on to what I was demonstrating. Summer bent down and toughed the base of the fountain and vines started to sprout where her fingers touched and they webbed their way all around the bottom. Winter stayed with the same stunned expression on her face.

"Maybe we should talk," Summer said. "Let's just go to the food court tables," I sugested. We sat at a table. She told us how she lives here with her two other friends. Meadow and Melodi were both her age and they were all about as close as sisters. She said meadow is a garden elemental (which is a form of nature that I hadn't heard of), while Melodi is water. They all live well together  with sources of food and water from Meadow and Melodi.

While she talked, I just stared at Winter with a smile on my face. Even if I had only known her for a short time, I really liked her already. But I got the feeling she didn't really care for me the way I cared for her. She just saw me as another guy. "Don't you think," Summer asked, "Hello?" She poked me to get my attention. "What? Yeah," I said. "You weren't even listening Travis,"

"I sort of was," I told her. "Yeah right! You sort of were staring into Winter's eyes!" She yelled back. "We are going to meet Meadow and Melodi," Summer informed me. "Oh... okay then," I replied. How much did I miss while zoning out?

Winter led both Summer and me to her house. It was a tall house. It was about 3 stories. However, it was thin so the height made up for it. She got to the door and pulled a small key out of her pant's pocket. She opened the door that led to a small foyer. It seemed very quiet in the house. She led us up a set of stairs that were off to the side. We walked up and took us to a brown, wooden door. She pushed it open and revieled two seemingly friendly face. "Hi!" both of the girls said in unision.
