Summer's P.O.V.
After Winter flipped the light switch and settled in her bed, I slowly and sadly drifted down into the dark abyss of sleep. I never liked to admit it, but I had always had evil dreams of either my or other people's terror. The virus of sleep always causes me great emotional pain. It was a hurdle in my path that I was always just a little to short to jump. It was a spoiler to me and my outlook on humanity and goodness.
It started with me. Except it wasn't me at all. My golden, blonde hair was transformed into petrifying, cold, deep black hair that melted its way down my back. My eyes were the color of a blank canvas. They were plain white with a pupil of black darkness directly in the middle. I wore a menacing gown of despair. And of course, it was black.... along with knee-high boots. I was the shadows. I was the fear. I was the darkness queen.
Then, I was teleported. I was still the same evil character, just in a different place. There were two other figures in the picture I could see. A boy and a girl were in front of me. The boy was lying in the girls arms. It was Travis and Winter. Travis was just about as close to lifeless as someone can get. His usually lightly tanned skin was now a pale, almost blue color. He was shivering and he had an "I'll be okay" face. Which he obviously wasn't going to be. He tried to mask his true feelings of pain and death inside them. But alas, I could sense them inside of him.
Winter looked down at him miserably, whimpering. "Why is this happening..?" she was able to make out. I clomped forward with my boots clicking on what sounded like a marble floor. "She shifted her head so she could see me out of the corner of her eye. Winter sucked in her tears and said, "It was you..." softly, "It was you," louder the second time. She turned back to Travis full of concern. His eyes began flickering back and forth. "Winter,... I..... I'm so cold........" he whispered. She just stared back at him with a look of disgust from me and sadness for him.
"You," Winter said to me, "You feed on other peoples pain and fear." I smirked childishly at the floor. I had no control over my body. If I was there, I would've popped "Little Miss Darkness," square in the mouth. "Yes," I told Winter, "and this one was especially filled with them. He acts confident, but he's a coward. Unable to conquer his fears." She scowled at me. "Your a liar..... He's braver than you'll ever be. Open your eyes you beast!" I looked at her angrily after that comment. It was serious now.
Travis moaned slightly, shutting his glassy eyes. He turned a small bit in Winter's arms. Winter set him down carefully. She then triumphantly stood up looking toward me. Her icy eyes looked full of hatred. "I can defeat you." she said, "I know I can." She closed her eyes and put her hands at her chest. Her hands then looked as if she was holding something and light glowed from between her fingers. She brought her hands off of her chest and what she held was even hard for me to believe. She looked a little woozy, but she then quickly conquered that feeling and held up an ice crystal hovering between her palms.
It was a blue-green diamond that constantly spun on a tilted axis. She brought her hands back down, bringing the crystal with it. She then closed her hands tight over the crystal and there was a sound of cracking. When she opened her hands, billions of glowing pieces flew around her. With a swift motion of her hands, all of the shimmering pieces flew toward her and sank into her skin. She sank into a large glowing sphere. I couldn't see anything past the light.
When the light cleared, in her place stood Winter, in a transformed image. She was wearing a corrusponding light blue-green shirt and skirt. How could she possibly know what she was doing? She held a blue staff with a colorful ice diamond. She eminated power and light.
I was calm on the outside, but I was panicing on the inside. I smiled and said, "I can beat you. It would be easy." She yelled and charged at me pointing her staff. I dodged her by an inch, but she came back reluctantly. As she ran, I jumped over and watched her pass under my feet. A half-second before she could turn around, I blasted her with dark shadow matter (How do I know what it's called?).
She landed next to Travis. He still lay there on the floor. Winter was now in regular form and her clothes looked slightly charred. Travis turned to her and gave a fake smile. "You're so brave..." he told her quietly. I knew how I could kill him for good. I stepped forward, but neither of them seemed to notice. They just kept looking at each other. I didn't want to hurt Travis. But my transformed self was too strong. Travis began to mutter. "I lo-" he was stopped when I stuck my hand out and surged it upward. Suddenly, Travis started glowing and a small flame errupted from his chest. It hovered above him. I pulled my hand back to me and the flame came to my hand. It floated above my palm. I threw it down to the ground and it died against the floor.
Winter gasped loudly and shed a tear. It landed on Travis but he had already died. He turned gray. Even the color from his clothes dissappeared. Winter sank her head onto Travis's chest. She sat like that for a moment but she stood up and looked at me. The vision of my dream zoomed-in on her face. "We don't want you here." she said loudly, "JUST LEAVE!"
I woke with a start.
