The next morning, Alaude frowned while sleeping on his bed. He felt something different, something missing. He tried to get a hold of something next to him but didn't find it. He opened one eye to see the spot next to him was empty.

He sat up in confusion and scratched his head "a..dream ?" He thought. He remembered Alane sleeping next to him last night, he remembered asking her to, was it all a dream ?

He got up and did his daily routine. He went to the living room to see everyone was awake "where's Alane ?" He asked Knuckle "oh ! I think she's in the kitchen !" Knuckle said, Alaude frowned and went to see her "is Alaude alright ? He seemed to be troubled with something" Asari whispered "maybe he woke up on the wrong side of the bed to the Extreme" Knuckle shrugged.

Alaude entered the kitchen and looked around, he then spotted Alane preparing tea. He wrapped his arms around her hips and rested his chin on her shoulder "Alaa-ne ?" He whispered in her ear "heeeeh !!" She got startled out of her skin "A-Alaude !" She looked at him "g-good morning" she calmed down "morning" he mattered "speaking of morning, where were you last night ?" He asked "s-sleeping next to you ?" She blinked.

He tilted his head "so it wasn't a dream after all" he thought "I woke up and didn't find you next to me" he said "w-well.." She faced him "I-I thought I would leave early so that you wouldn't be annoyed" she tugged on her dress "a-also I thought you would be mad if anyone saw me coming out of your room.." She blushed.

Elena was about to check on Alane when she spotted them. As she was about to call her, Alaude trapped Alane between his arms, making Elena flinch and hide behind the door, she peeked in. Alane felt a little uneasy about how Alaude was staring at her "you made me upset" he said "a-ah, I'm sorry" she lowered her head "tonight.." She flinched.

He knew Elena was there, he didn't want to say anything. He leaned into Alane's face and pecked her cheek "come to my room again tonight. This time, you won't leave until I say so" he whispered in her ear "understand ?" He looked at her, she blushed but nodded "it's okay if you don't want to" he pulled back "I'm not forcing you" he said "but-" she looked up at him and flinched when he poked her forehead "Stupid Cat" he smirked and left.

Elena flinched and moved out of the way as Alaude got out of the kitchen. She watched his back as he walked away. She entered the kitchen to see Alane holding her red cheeks "what was that about ?" She asked, Alane flinched "m-miss Elena" Alane said "n-nothing, please do not worry about me" she waved her hand "hm" Elena tilted her head "looks like Alaude and Alane are planning to do something at night" she thought.

As they went to the living room, the sound of laughter increased. When they entered, Alane's eyes widen "ah Alane, Elena" Oliviero smiled "Mr. Oliviero.." Alane blinked. She flinched when he took her hand and kissed it "been a while" he winked "h-hm" she shakily nodded "eh ?" He blinked as Giotto hugged Alane from behind, pulling her back, and hissed at him with the creepiest look he have ever seen "you need to forgive Giotto, he have been through a lot for the past few weeks" G sweat dropped.

"So anyway.." Oliviero said "I'm having this ball next week and of course everyone is invited" he smiled "oh really ? What for ?" Asari asked "no reason" Oliviero shrugged "actually it is a celebration for Alane officially becoming the Snow Guardian" he explained "a ball ? Is it like my first mission ?" Alane blinked "yes, but this time we won't be under cover" G explained "oh this is exciting ! I already feel my legs dancing !!" Elena clasped her hands "dancing ?" Alane thought "w-will Alaude be there ?" She asked.

They looked at her "Alaude isn't the kind of person to go balls unless it was a mission" Knuckle said "is that so ? I was hoping to dance with him" Alane pressed her fingertips together "Alaude doesn't dance !" Asari laughed "he does not ?" She blinked in confusion "sorry Alane, you have to dance with someone else" Knuckle said "but I do not know how to dance" she frowned.
