☀️🌊|| June 7th, 1990 ||🌊☀️
The last day of school for the year 1990 was Marshall and I's last day for the rest of our lives. Unless we enrolled again, but we both knew it was highly unlikely.
We were official dropouts.
Marshall and I were happy it was finally over forever. No more homework that would never get done in the first place, no annoying teachers, no detentions or being sent out into the hall, and no more carving curse words into the desks.
As for Kim and Marshall, there was no suspicion of the two seeing each other anymore. Marshall was almost always either at my house or I was at his. And when we weren't at each other's house, all seven of us were hanging out together. He never spoke of her or sulked around, he was actually in a happier mood. Like he was free. And I couldn't blame him either; she was more controlling than his own mother. With Kim being gone, it was much easier to hang out with Marshall. Swift, Kuniva, Proof, Bizarre, and Porter would all agree. We no longer had to worry if he was with her before going over to his house. Because if she was, someone would end up getting in an argument, then Marshall and Kim would break up, then get back together. But this time around was a lot more promising to us all.
It was the beginning of June, and it felt like it too. It was in the mid 80's, so the seven of us decided to go to Lake Huron and spend the day on the beach.
Once we got there, we set out two large blankets to sit on. Denaun, Swift, Marshall, and I occupied one of them, while Proof, Kuniva, and Bizarre took the other. All of the guys were going shirtless, which I was perfectly fine with. Bizarre on the other hand...
I was wearing a neon orange bikini with black outline.
When Kuniva, Denaun, Swift, Bizarre, and Proof went in the water to swim, Marshall and I stayed on the sand and started to bury each other underneath.
"Marshall, stop lifting your arm!" I demanded while laughing.
"I got an itch!" he defended while scrunching up his face repeatedly to relieve the itch. "It's on my nose," he said.
I rolled my eyes and scratched the bridge of him nose for him.
He smiled contently and closed his eyes. "Thanks."
I laughed and continued to bury him. Scooping up another handful of sand, I placed it carefully over his arm and hand and patted it down. I fixed his left arm and added some more sand to his neck and shoulders. I stood up and put my hands in my hips, looking over Marshall's covered body. I started to lightly giggle to myself at how perfect it looked. It was all so even and leveled out, making his popping out head look weird and funny. His face was shiny- almost glowing. Oh wait, that was sweat.
