When Bradley woke up the next morning he was surprised to have already have received another text from Nikki. He was feeling slightly hungover from the night before and had wondered if he would even here from Nikki again but the first thing he did after waking up was check his phone which was being charged and was excited to see that Nikki had actually sent him a text first.

'Are you awake yet? Xx' read the text.

'Just woke up now lol xx' replied Bradley. He had to go to work in a couple of hours so he wouldn't be able to stay in bed all day but hearing from Nikki had put him in a good mood.

Both Bradley and Nikki would then spend most of the day texting each other until Bradley had to leave for work and they had already arranged to meet each other the following Tuesday. Bradley was excited about meeting Nikki again but hoped that she wouldn't cancel on him at the last minute. He had in the past arranged to meet up with girls but usually something would always come up and he would be left feeling disappointed.

Nikki had also been let down by guys herself. Her former boyfriend named Josh was selfish and spent most of his free time going to parties using recreational drugs and had introduced Nikki to the same things. Their relationship ended after Nikki found out that he had cheated on her with another girl at a party that he had gone to and Nikki then went off the rails and started playing around with different guys to try and block out the memories that she had of Josh but so far she seemed to like Bradley as he was different to most of the guys she had been with and he seemed to be everything that Josh was not. Bradley was decent and had hardly ever tried drugs in his life with the exception of trying cannabis.

Both Bradley and Nikki would continue to text each other over the next few days until Tuesday finally came. As it was the half term break Bradley had managed to get a few extra hours at the cafe and he had just finished work for the day and he quickly went home to get ready before getting a bus into the town centre to meet Nikki who was also excited about meeting him.

'What is this guy like then?' asked her mother named Tess while Nikki was getting ready to leave the flat that she shared with her mum.

'He is nice, Mum, don't worry,'

'Not into all that drugs I hope!' said her mother. Tess looked a lot like Nikki; both of them had brown shoulder length hair and brown eyes.

'No I don't think he has done any of that before,' replied Nikki. Tess knew that her daughter had taken drugs before and although she didn't approve on it she had a relaxed attitude towards it having been part of the party scene when she was younger. She had given birth to Nikki at a young age and had sometimes struggled with her but the two of them remained close.

'Well, have a nice time, I love you!' called out Tess as Nikki left the flat.

'Love you too, Mum,' replied Nikki as she went to catch the bus into town.

The town centre always seemed nice in the evening and as it was spring the weather was nice and sunny. The town centre was close to the beach and was always a popular place for people to meet up for dates. Bradley had meet girls at the beach before and had suggested it to Nikki as a place to get to know each other.

Bradley arrived in the town centre first and was getting more and more nervous about seeing Nikki. They had been texting each other a lot over just two days but really, they didn't have any idea of what they would be like in person.

After waiting for about twenty minutes, Nikki's bus had finally arrived outside the main shopping centre and Bradley was starting to feel relived.

'Well, I am finally here,' smiled Nikki as she got off the bus. She was wearing black leggings, a black top and had her hair straightened.

'You look, nice,' complimented Bradley pleased that for once he was with a good looking girl.

'Thanks, babe,' replied Nikki 'you look nice as well,'

Bradley was wearing his best jeans and jacket and had jailed his hair into curtains.

'You done your hair again!' said Nikki excitedly 'I love curtains anyway,'

'It makes me look like I am in a boy band,' joked Bradley.

'It looks cute,' smile Nikki 'what are we doing then?'

'Don't mind, we could go for a walk?' suggested Bradley. The seafront went on for a few miles and right in the centre of the beach was the main pier. It was the perfect evening and Bradley and Nikki walked for ages and both felt that they really liked each other.

'You like rave music don't you?' asked Nikki remembering their conversation from the party the previous weekend when they talked about the music that they liked.

'Of course, was listening to it earlier,' replied Bradley.

'Have you ever been to a rave before?' asked Nikki.

'No, but wouldn't mind going to one,' replied Bradley.

'I have before, it's amazing,' said Nikki 'I will have to take you to one on day,'

'Sure,' replied Bradley feeling that Nikki was hinting at them meeting up again.

'There might be some drugs though,' added Nikki 'I hope that doesn't put you off,'

'What drugs are they?' asked Bradley curiously knowing that the rave scene was known for drugs but he had never tried much of them before apart from cannabis.

'Mostly just pills, ecstasy and that, but it's alright though,' replied Nikki.

'I tried smoking weed before, but that's about it,' said Bradley.

'Weed is shit anyway,' joked Nikki 'my ex used to do it all the time but it used to do my head in,'

'I didn't like it much either,' added Bradley.

The date went well and both Nikki and Bradley had arranged to meet up again later in the week. Bradley had felt something about Nikki that he hadn't felt for a girl in a long time, she was different to his previous girlfriends as she was fun, sexy and they seemed to have a lot in common. Nikki had also liked Bradley as he was nice and seemed like the type of guy who would look after her which was nothing like Josh yet at the back of her mind, Josh still haunted her and she remembered her first date with Josh who she had met at a party and they had also arranged to meet up at the beach.

She knew that she needed to rid herself of these memories and perhaps Bradley was the perfect way to get over Josh.

'So when are you meeting him again?' Tina asked Nikki when she visited her the next day.

'I am meeting him tomorrow,' replied Nikki as she was checking through her mobile phone.

'He seems nice, hope it works for you both,' added Tina.

'Thanks, babe, are you still seeing that guy?' replied Nikki.

'That boy? No, he gone back to his ex didn't he,' laughed Tina.

'You don't seem bothered!' exclaimed Nikki.

'He was useless anyway!' laughed Tina 'always going on about the football, so boring!'

Bradley's friends were quieter than Nikki's but the subject of girls still came up.

'So you are meeting Nikki again tomorrow?' Simon asked Bradley while they were watching TV round Simon's house.

'I think, so, we are going to go to the beach again,' replied Bradley.

'She seemed nice when I spoke to her the other night, you might do well for yourself this time,' joked Simon. Both Bradley and Nikki had decided to meet at the same place again but this time they would walk in the other direction. Everything seemed to be going well so far.
