When Saturday night finally arrived, Bradley had met Nikki in the Seaford area close to where Gavin and Rhonda lived so they could get ready to go out to the club. Bradley was still slightly apprehensive about the possibility of trying ecstasy but he was also excited about what might happen.
Gavin and Rhonda lived in a flat above a shop along the main road in Seaford close to where The Talbot was. The area was busy during the day but was still run down and it was clear that the area had lacked any investment in recent years.
To get to Gavin and Rhonda's flat, Bradley and Nikki had to walk down a side alley way and wring an intercom that was connected to each flat. After speaking through the intercom, Rhonda had let them in and they walked into the building up and the stairs. The inside was dimly lit and smelt musty but Rhonda had left the door to their flat open and inside their flat was much brighter and more welcoming.
'Hey, thanks for coming over!' said Rhonda excitedly as Nikki and Bradley walked in 'are you ready for tonight?'
'I can't wait!' said Nikki as she sat down on a sofa and made herself at home. Gav and Tina were also in the front room which looked over into the main street.
'Alright?' said Gav as he rolled up a cigarette 'are you both looking forward to tonight?'
'Should be good I hope,' replied Bradley looking around the small but tidy flat which had various drawings on the walls and varies photos of Gavin and Rhonda from the parties and raves that they had been to.
'I still remember my first rave,' added Gavin 'you will have a great time!'
'Did you get hold of the stuff?' asked Nikki referring to the drugs.
'I got a few of them,' replied Gavin 'we will take them just before we go into the club. Anyone fancy a beer?' said Gavin as he offered Bradley and Nikki a can of fosters each.
'What's the plan then?' asked Nikki.
'Going to have a beer or two here and then head down the sea front and then make our way to the rave,' replied Gav 'My mate is working tonight so he can get us in and he knows the men who are working on the door so we will have no problems getting in,'
'What time does it kick off?' asked Tina.
'About tenish,' replied Gav 'it won't be a huge night but with DJ Phoenix coming down it should still be a good turnout,'
'How many pills did you want?' Rhonda asked Bradley and Nikki when she came back into the room.
'About three?' replied Nikki.
'What about you, Bradley?' asked Rhonda.
'Maybe try about one?' replied Bradley.
'Maybe try them in the half,' suggested Nikki 'Take half before you get into the club and then the other half later, that's what I did on my first time,'
'I could try that,' replied Bradley 'how much are they?'
'Two quid each,' replied Gavin 'I will sell them to people for more but as you are part of my party I will sell them cheaper,'
'Thanks, Gav,' replied Nikki 'how much are you buying, Tina?
'Just three and maybe another one later,' replied Tina.
'These should sell out quick,' replied Gavin 'these have been big in the raves in places like Rotterdam,'
After an hour of hanging out at Gav and Rhonda's the group made their way out towards the seafront with a can of beer each. The evening was calm and Bradley was enjoying the night so far and after a couple of beers was feeling more relaxed about the pills. The walk to the seafront was also relaxed while the weather was nice and at the beach there were a few people around, mostly just joggers and dog walkers. Eventually the group reached the town centre close to where Bradley and Nikki had their first date.
