Bradley and Nikki's next date went ahead as planned and it felt as good as the previous one. Bradley couldn't help but think that Nikki was perfect for him and there was something about her that made him start falling for her and he grabbed her hand as they walked along the beach.
They had walked from the main Pier to another Pier in the Seaford area of the town and then sat down at a bench. Nikki remember this area, she had been here at night once with Josh after a party.
'It's nice here,' said Bradley causally.
'It's nice when the druggies are not out,' laughed Nikki 'I remember coming down here at night once, everything always happens at night around here,'
'You don't do drugs now?' asked Bradley curiously.
'Not for a while,' replied Nikki 'I might do them at a rave again but then you have to at a rave,'
'What's the biggest rave that you have been to?' asked Bradley.
'I went to one in London once, last year, there were loads of people and it went on all night. It was at some club in Streatham or somewhere,' Nikki replied. She missed the parties and the raves as there was something about them but she had tried to put it behind her as it reminded her of Josh too much but the memories of him were everywhere.
After a successful date they had again arranged to meet up at the weekend. Nikki had planned to go to a pub with Tina and a few friends and invited Bradley.
'You know where The Talbot is?' asked Nikki before she got on the bus back home.
'In Seaford?' asked Bradley.
'It is right by Palmerston Road,' added Nikki.
'I have never been there before,' Bradley said happy that Nikki had wanted to see him again.
'I will see you soon, babe,' Nikki said hugging Bradley as her bus pulled up.
A couple of minutes later Bradley received a text from Nikki while he was waiting for his bus.
'Thanks for a nice evening xxx' she said.
'That's OK, I enjoyed seeing you too xxx' replied Bradley. They had only met up a couple of times but it felt like they had known each other longer.
Bradley was again looking forward to seeing Nikki at the weekend but was also apprehensive; he had been to pubs before but not with a girlfriend but he was worried that a guy might try it on with Nikki. He had invited a few of his friends for the night out for the extra support and so far it looked like it would have been a good night.
The pub named The Talbot was in Seaford, an area close to the town centre that was at one time a wealthy area but had slowly become run down and was known for being seedy with a lot of drugs being sold in the area. The Talbot was a reminder of the early days when the area was vibrant but the building itself was somewhat slightly dilapidated. It was Victorian area pub and both inside and outside, it looked like it would have done when it was first built.
'So how many girls are going?' asked Mick down the phone when Bradley had arranged to meet everyone before they went to the pub.
'Well, there is Nikki, Tina and some of their friends,' replied Bradley.
'You do know that if you get a shag off Nikki then you owe me a drink,' joked Mick.
'Well I guess I wouldn't have known her if you had invited us around last week,' laughed Bradley.
Nikki and Bradley continued to text over the next two days until the weekend and were both looking forward to seeing each other again.
'So when is Bradley going to ask you out?' teased Tina as they got ready round Nikki's that Saturday.
