A Battle to Remember

Hakuryuu was the first to move. Charging towards you, he launched himself off the ground and swung down at you.

"Even if this is training don't expect me to go easy on you either!" He shouted from above. You stepped to the side, allowing him to land in front of you.

"Well then let's get to it." You replied, sending him hurdling towards the wall with gravity manipulation. The male groaned in pain while using his staff to get up.

"Of course." A growling mutated creature appeared in front of you. You quickly drew your short sword and enchanted it before driving it easily through the monster. 'Ten seconds is more than enough for this.' Hakuryuu spawned two more and sent them to you. 'So this is one of the abilities his djinn gives him... In that case...'

You ran towards them, blade in hand and shredded through one. The next one was on a fixed path to you, it's large mouth gaping open ready for what was next. You were about to move out of its way when you realized you were stuck. Looking down, you saw vines holding your legs in place. 'How annoying.'

"Using those creatures to do your bidding? And these petty plants?" You teased while making pistols with your hands, preparing to fire. "You'll never reach that goal of yours if you rely on others."

You took a couple of shots into the creatures mouth, making it howl in pain before retreating. 'Not enough to kill it huh? Only my enchanted sword will do.' You then focused back on your feet and began trying to burn it but no avail.

"It's not that simple (Y/N)."Hakuryuu smirked while watching you struggle. The dark-haired male then shifted his gaze to the leviathan-like monster. "Do it."

"Oh isn't it?" You retorted before giving your short sword that signature pierce glow. You quickly sliced through the thick vine before it got any tighter and then brought then blade on the creature, cutting it apart.

You jumped back and reformed pistols, firing mercilessly on Hakuryuu, even if it might kill him. 'He asked to learn anyway.' Hakuryuu did his best to dodge, but couldn't escape with out a few cuts and tears from near-misses.

He then catapulted himself off the floor, over your shots, and landed behind you, his silver blade to your neck.

"You s-"

"Oh don't ever think it's you'll win just like that." You stated darkly as you sent his spear away, leaving him unarmed. The dark-haired male stared at you in shock before kneeling down on his hands with his head down.

"Just as I thought... I'm useless..." Hakuryuu whispered as a tear rolled down his cheek. 'He's gonna cry about it?!'

"H-Hey, you did fine." You stammered as you walked up to him. "Nobody's dodged my shots for that long!"

"I'll never be able to achieve my goal like this..." He added in a depressed manner.

"I'm pretty sure yo-"

"(Y/N), take me on again!" Hakuryuu demanded as he abruptly got up to face you.

'What?' His emotions are all over the place!'

"Alright, but you better not cry again when I beat you." You paused to raise a brow, hoping maybe, not to offend him. "I'm and pretty sure that match wasn't even over, you just quit over being left without a weapon."
