Goodbye

Hi.

It's been a while, hasn't it? Yeah, it has. Wow.

Okay, I wasn't going to write this, because I don't exactly have a "following," but a couple of people have wondered where I went, so I figured I'd explain.

a) I've been crazy busy lately, as in even when I have free time, I'm not really "free." I've been planning a trip, and I've been trying to get ahead in my studies, and a bunch of other stuff that I won't bore you with.

b) okay, this is the real reason I'm stopping.
I wrote the majority of this story in the summer after fifth grade and before sixth grade, when I was eleven. My writing style was severely lacking. I created this account at the beginning of seventh grade. I was twelve years old, and I thought it'd be brilliant to put the story out there. I didn't edit it much, but even if I did, it still wouldn't have been very good.

My writing has improved recently, (or at least I hope it has. I'm going to a school specifically to prepare me for being an author) and I am not proud of this story. Every time I read it, I just cringecringecringe.

I'm in high school now. It's been years since I was messing around on my mom's laptop trying to write a cute story.

I'm not saying that I've changed all that much, though I suppose I have. This is nothing to do with my personality and completely to do with my writing ability. I don't think I'm the best writer ever, but my writing on here is not under any circumstance a good example of my techniques. My writing style has changed entirely, and I don't really write stories like this anymore.

That said, I'm also not saying that I'm going to close this account or anything. I still read fanfics and love connecting to a vast array of other people. I might even put out another story at some point. Who knows?

I have 75 drafts, so perhaps one of them will turn out to be a story I'd like to continue. But if not, you'll find me somewhere in the Wattpad community 😊
