“I'm home!” I yelled to no one in particular. Jake was still busy preparing in the kitchen and Nick was still out at the Party Palace getting the decorations. My face was flushed from the cold and the snow and I was soaked to the skin. It was freezing! I went to change out of my wet clothes and went to the kitchen to see if Jake needed any help.
“Whoa Jake what did you do in here? Make a hurricane meal?!”
“Ha-ha very funny. Hey Narsh, look at this will ya. Is it just a perfect brown color?”
I peered over his shoulder and saw that he had baked his infamous chocolate cake with vanilla cream in the middle of it. Yum.
“When you're done drooling, tell me if the frosting color is just right. You know how Nina hates dark pink. Is this too dark?” I couldn't help but laugh at that sentence. I hit him on his arm and told him that the color was practically baby pink. There's no way that was gonna turn darker. I left him in the kitchen to rest up before I faced battle later in the very same room I just left.
“Wake up Narsha! It's 6 pm already.” An all too familiar voice was softly saying, while shaking me awake. Ok so that snow fight tired me out a little. I opened my eyes and saw none other than Nina! I bolted up and hugged her so hard. Boy have I missed my sister! It's been a year since I last saw her.
“Haha I missed you too Narsha! Let's go and see the aftermath of hurricane Jake.”
We heard a loud crash and an "Ooops!" and took that as our cue to take over Nick and Jake 'cleaning up'.
