Abduction

How? Why? WHAT?!

Peggy was laid on the couch that sat in the centre of the room. Daniel, President Johnson, a few SSR agents and Howard Stark stood around her.

Howard had laid a comforting hand on Daniel's shoulder as they all discussed what to do next.

"She should be arrested. Or killed."

Daniel was the first to speak after that statement. "I don't think that'll be necessary."

"And why is that?" The president demanded. "She had killed many people!"

"Not of her own volition. She was hypnotised or brainwashed. She's not necessarily reasonable."

"How do you know that?"

"Because we know who this woman is," Daniel stated.

The president was obviously surprised. "Who is she?"

The telephone suddenly started to ring. "I got it," Howard said.

"Her name is Peggy Carter."

"P... Peggy Carter?" Daniel nodded. "SHIELD's Peggy Carter?"

"Yes," Daniel confirmed. "She was soft of kidnapped four months ago. A secret Russian organisation called Leviathan had an ever going feud with her. They knew of her talents and skill as an agent and wanted to use that against."

"I've heard of this Leviathan," The President stated. "It's real?"

"Yes. We have-on numerous occasions-thought we had put an end to them but to no avail. And I'd like to apologise, now, for not bringing this matter to your attention."

"If you'll excuse me," Was all the President said before he left.

Daniel nodded toward the agents to follow him. Howard came to Daniel. "SHIELD caught Dottie Underwood. Again."

"Dottie Underwood? What was she doing?"

"Evidence shows infiltration."

Daniel sighed. "We-"

Daniel stopped mid sentence as he heard Peggy stir. Howard and Daniel exchanged glances before walking to her.

Peggy squeezed her eyes shut before slowly opening them. She had a pounding ache in her head and she lifted her hand to try and ease the pressure. Adding to the pain; all at once the events and occurrences of the night came rushing to her. Her eyes flew open.

She saw Daniel standing above her. Howard, too. She squinted as the overhead light invaded the dark that she was previously in.

"Wh-" She started to say.

Daniel held up his hand. "Calm down."

Peggy dizzily sat up. "How are you feeling?" Daniel asked.

"How'd you do it?" Was Peggy's response.

"Do what?" Howard asked.

"I was stuck." It was obviously difficult for her to admit that. "How did you get me out?"

Daniel drew in a heavy breath. He told her everything. Everything she did, how Daniel felt with it, how he tried to fix it and how he broke the spell.

Peggy was on the verge of tears by the time he finished telling her of the horrid things she did. She sat there silent for a long moment before saying, "I have to go back."

"What?!" Both men said in unison. "No."

Peggy stood up but fell over from the dizziness. Daniel caught her. "I have to go back," She said as she stared at him.

"No," Daniel said firmly.

"No, listen. If I don't go back, they'll know something happened, that I've been compromised." Peggy explained. "Now that I'm me again we can try and stop this for good. I'm the only one that can do it now."

Howard spoke, "She's got a point."

Daniel glared at Howard as if saying, 'Your not helping.' Howard shrugged.

"Fine, but there will be backup."

Peggy smiled. "Of course."

...okay I'm going to stop estimating how many chapters are left and just finish the story. 😂😂😂 Just know it's almost over. And that the sequel (I hope) is going to be good. 😂
