~ Dementors Fate (Help! Lillian's stuck in limbo!) ~

“Don't go towards the light, Lilly!”

Out from nowhere Lillian felt somebody poke her.

“Ouch!” she hissed, looking about. But she couldn't see anything, everything was too dark. She was so terrified. Where was she?

“Lillian!” someone called, their voice like an echo.

“Whose there?”

“It's me, Hermione!”

Suddenly a bright light appeared in front of Lillian. “Where are you?”

“Please do not go towards the light!” Hermione warned, sternly. Lillian held her breath, becoming scared. “Run away from the light... Don't go near it!”

“Hermione! Where's the Grim?”

Lillian could hear voices around her. She could hear Harry and Sirius talking with eachother. The light got brighter, and she began to hear Lupin howl.

“Gotcha!” Somebody grabbed Lillian, and they both fell towards more darkness. “Now listen to me... and listen carefully!”

“I can't see you! I can feel you but I can't –”

“I said listen!” snapped Hermione. Lupin's growl in the background grew louder and louder. “I've used my Time-Turner to bring you back. Right now I need you to follow my clear instructions and I'll get us outta here!”

There was a loud shuffling noise, a gasp and then a rattling noise.

“Is that...” Lillian felt Hermione take her hand and drag her through the darkness.

“Yes. We're sort of in... limbo... I guess. This is where Dementors are doomed to wander when the Ministry of Magic dismisses them.... Ouch! Watch out for that hole, Lilly.”

“What ho – Ahh!”

“That hole!”

The bright light was now behind them, getting smaller and smaller the more they walked away from it. “Why can't we go into the light?”

“The light is bad,” Hermione hissed. “In the light are Dementors. They use it to attract us so they can feed.. We're almost there!”

“LILLIAN!” screamed Snape.

“What's happening? I can hear voices around me.”

“This is it. In about three minutes you're going to die... Now, when I tell you to jump, you jump. OK?”

“OK...”

After a short silence, Hermione squeezed Lillian's hand and screamed, “JUMP!” To which Lillian responded to and immediately she jumped forward, engulfed into even more darkness.

“ Finally, Hermione! Come on, we have to hurry!” Harry stopped forward and grabbed Hermione and turned her around. Hermione let go of Lillian's hand and she ran forward, too.

“Come on, Lilly!” Lillian rubbed her eyes then scurried after them. “We've got approximately two and a half minutes to get back to the Hospital wing!”

“What – I don't under – what's going on here!? What was that poem I heard in the darkness?”

“That was my Time-Turner. I saved you from dying! Now you have to promise me NEVER to repeat this to anyone and return straight to the common room! Don't leave the common room tonight. Act like nothing happened... You can thank me in the future!”

Then Harry and Hermione were out of sight, leaving Lillian to stand idly next to the Greenhouses. With no time to loose, Lillian scampered up the stairs and ran all the way up to the common room. Panting, she slouched down in exhaustion on one of the fat, red armchairs and sighed. She hadn't even had time to go over what had happened inside her mind, for people began to gather inside of the common room. From what Lillian could gather, dinner had not long finished.

A girl Lillian had never met – but felt that she had in some weird, mysterious way – walked up to Lillian, saying, “Some Slytherin boy told me to tell you something about the Whomping Willow tonight at six o' clock?”

Lillian looked up then turned away from the girl and stared into the pits of fire beneath the large mantle-piece. Lillian would not go out tonight; at eight o' clock she would make sure that she stayed inside of her dormitory and for the first time in ages... she would stay inside and follow the school rules. Act like nothing had ever happened, just like she had been told to do. Then, when morning comes, she would go and find her dad.
