Chapter 16

Lillian settled down at Hogwarts most impressively. She almost knew where most of her classes were and stuff. She instantly fell into a sort of routine during the first week of her stay. She'd rise up around 7 in the morning, do what she had to do, play with Prince, and would make her way down to the Great Hall where she'd have her breakfast. This was at 9am.

After breakfast, and after Dumbledore would give a speech or something, she'd make her way to her classes.

Her classes, thought Lillian, were strange indeed. She was used to subjects such as English, Maths, Biology, History and Art, not Divination, Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, Defence Against the Dark Arts and most importantly, Transfiguration.

Divination was weird to Lillian. Well, maybe not the actual subject but the teacher Professor Trelawney was a little weird, and she had the notion that her Transfiguration teacher agreed with her.

Transfiguration was Lillian's favourite subject. She looked forward to those lessons, she loved them so much. Granted, the teacher, oh what's her name... Professor McGonagall, that's it, she was a little snooty and strict, but she still looked forward to them. She learned a lot from those lessons, but she learnt more from the book she had 'borrowed' from Severus's room back home.

So yeah, Lillian settled in pretty well, in the matter of one week that is.

Draco still continued to glare at Lillian at every opportunity though, occasionally making a smug remark to Grab or Goyle saying that 'I can't believe I actually spoke to her... I mean, I sat with a filthy and contagious Gryffindor!'

But he daren't say anything to Leo or Arostia, because they still liked Lillian even though they never told Lillian so, not yet anyway. Leo, he, well, he more than liked her. And Arostia, she generally prayed for Lillian to be in Slytherin because she could've seen them being best friend's... but she wasn't, she was sorted into Gryffindor. Draco forbade anybody to talk to her...

Hermione, she spoke with Lillian a few times but not once did anybody ask Lillian's name. Hermione was just being polite, Lillian told herself.

Those twins, Fred and George? They were also just being polite, but in a funnier way. There was also a boy Lillian spoke with, Seamus, she liked him. He talked a lot about his 'mam' but still she liked him. There were two other boys that Lillian had only ever seen the back of. One was the younger brother of The Twins and the other had black hair, which remained to be a mystery to her... a lot like what she was to them.

Potions... well, potions' was a subject Lillian did not enjoy, surprisingly.

Her very first lesson with her 'father', Severus, did not go well during her first week.

It ended with a detention.

She, according to Severus, was three minutes late to his lesson.

It was mortifying. I mean, entering a room full with experienced people the same as you is degrading enough, but to enter three minutes late, into a silent room... it was just undignified.

"Your Late Miss... Snape! You will be marked down for a detention at the end of the day... and on your first day to my class as well."

His words brought whispers, loud whispers. Not because Lillian was getting a detention, gee -  they had all done that before, but because the professor said her name was Snape which meant they must've been related... must've been his daughter or something?

"Sit down then!" Professor Snape shouted from his desk, grimacing at her earnestly.

Lillian, with a face that would even put a tomato to shame, scurried to the first available seat.

And what do you know; it was next to Draco Malfoy. Just great!

Draco, realising Lillian was anxiously staring at him, nudged his seat away from her and turned his back on her.

This hurt Lillian...

She never paid must attention during Snape's lesson because of this. The entire time her mind was yelling at Draco: You ignorant swine! You bloody big bastard!

Evidently, her body was kept busy by writing down the compatibility of ingredients she saw in her textbook, but her mind was kept busy by being utterly furious.

Potions was over, time for Care of Magical Creatures.

Lillian, scowling, picked up her books, shoved them into her bag and left the dungeons.

She followed a few people to an area that was on the border line of The Forbidden Forest, by herself.
