Chapter 12
“Stop it! It hurts please. Just please, stop!” I screamed at the top of my lungs as he pushed something into me. It hurt so much and I felt myself tightening. My whole body was sweating and I was shaking. I didn’t like what he was doing and I knew my body didn’t want it either.
“Ugh…ugh….ugh,” was all he could say. The tears continued to stain my face.
“Please just stop…please…I’ll do anything, please!” I pleaded.
“You’re already giving me what I want babe,” he continued and brushed the adhered hair out of my face.
I had the sudden urge to throw up
I jumped out of the covers and raced up the stairs. My feet heavy pounded on the stairs desperately trying to get to a bathroom quick. I could feel the vomit trying to force its way out, but I kept my mouth closed as long as I could. I took my hand away from my mouth and opened my mouth. I couldn’t hold it in anymore. I let the vomit go and I dropped on my knees to the kitchen floor. I retched and retched trying to get everything out so the pain would just stop. But more just kept coming out.
“Dammit Summer!” Steven’s familiar voice called out.
“Go…awa-,” I tried to say. I couldn’t let Steven see me like this. It was embarrassing. I looked down at the vomit; it was a disgusting white color with just big green lumps in it. This even made me vomit more. I could feel Steven’s body lightly press up against mine. I could feel his hand swoop all of the hair out of my face; he lightly rubbed my back whispering that everything was going to be okay. I believed him for a second, but I knew there was something wrong. For the past month and a half I’ve been throwing up, non-stop. And Steven’s been there every single time to help me.
“This is disgusting, why are you helping me. You aren’t grossed out?” I managed to ask.
“Shh…”
I cried hysterically. I hated when this happened. I needed to see a doctor.
“Hon, I think you need to see a doctor,” whispered Steven still rubbing my back. I slowly nodded.
“I’ll make an appointment one o’ clock, can you be ready by then?” he asked. I nodded again.

“And when has the vomiting occurred? When did it first start?” asked the doctor.
“Um, about a month ago, maybe even a little more,”
He jotted down something on his clipboard. Steven waited outside the door of the doctor’s room we were in. The room smelled of rubbing alcohol, which I liked the smell of. Since I was still considered a “child” I had to see a pediatrican. So the walls were covered in pictures of abc blocks and elephants.
“And you said you also experience nausea also?” I nodded again and again he wrote down something on his clipboard.
“Summer, are you sexually active?”
What did he mean by that? I’ve never heard that whole term ever in my life. I shook my head no.
“Are you sure?” he said with a disapproving look.
“I- am sure,” I said. I was pretty sure I was not something I didn’t even know about. I shifted in my paper gown the doctor had me put on.
“Alright, I’m going to have you do a test for me okay?” he said. He went into a little drawer and whipped out a packaged plastic little stick. He turned to me and held out the stick to me gesturing to the bathroom.
"You can take it from here," he said with a smile pushing into the bathroom and shutting the door. I looked in the mirror and looked back at the little stick I had in my hand. What the hell was I supposed to do with this?!
*Steven's P.O.V*
I sat outside the doctor's office tapping on the edge of the uncomfortable plastic chair. The little chime on my phone notified me that someone texted me. I lifted up off of the seat and pulled out my phone. The text was from Summer. I took a look behind me at the closed door that Summer was in with the doctor.
Summer: I need your help
Me: yea, sure what do you need, princess
Summer: the doctor gave me this stick...urm, and just kind of shoved me into the bathroom with it not giving any instruction whatsoever! I have no idea what I'm supposed to do.
Me: does it say anything on it? what the hell?
Summer: it says ClearBlue.
"Holy shit...." I yelled a little too loud once I knew what she was talking about. A woman covered her children's ears and gave me a dirty scowl. I whispered a sorry and she turned her back to me walking out with her kids. But who cared about that...Summer was taking a pregnancy test...
