RECAP FROM LAST CHAPTER!!!!!
She turned back and noticed me and she began to walk faster. Looking back at me she didn't notice the dip in the sidewalk and tripped. I tried to sprint faster and finally caught up with her. Damn...it was cold outside.
I rushed to her side as she examined her knee. She tried to get up but fell back down again. Her whole knee cap was stained with fresh blood. She hissed through her teeth at the pain.
"Shit," she said.
"Come on, you can't be limping around wherever you were going to go Let me," I said. I scooped her up and she layed in my arms bridal style.
"This doesn't mean i forgive you. Your still an asshole," she snarled.
"I know,"

So many problems I needed to solve but didn't know how to solve. Why was all this happening to me? I kind of started regretting leaving my mother. I realized before, when I had my mother none of these problems occurred. At all. Now that I left her, its been harder. I've been exposed to the real world. Exposed to reality. But the question was, is it better to hide yourself from the real world or be apart of the struggles that come along with it. i didn't quite know the answer to it. But I'm sure sooner or later I would find out. Speaking of my mother, I wondered how she was doing. Would it be risky to go to the house? And see her? Or would it be a big mistake? If i went their would she be warm and welcoming and begging at foot for me to come back? or would she scream in my face with a beer bottle in hand and start beating me for leaving? Was it a risk I was willing to take?
I hopped off the futon in the basement and went to the closet. I looked around and rummaged around for my coat and scarf. I pulled the scarf from under my Uggs and quickly wrapped it around my neck tightly. I slung my coat over my body and zipped it up. I slipped on my Uggs and closed the closet door.
I headed towards the steps and stopped in the middle of the staircase. What if she started beating me again? I would have no rescue. Steven was with his friends on a skiing trip. Steven's mom was away on business. And Erin...how would she help me?
I shoved my hand in my pocket and grabbed my phone. I dialed Luke's number and pressed the phone against my ear. The phone went straight to voicemail. I redialed it again and the same thing occurred.
I heaved a sigh.
I walked up the steps and straight into the kitchen where I could hear the rummaging of coffee mugs and plates clacking against each other. I let out a sigh and he turned around and smiled at me.
"Boring here without them, huh?" he chuckled proceeding to clean the dishes in the sink.
"Not really. I find it peaceful, if that's umm..sorry that was offensive," I stuttered. His back was turn to me.
"I like it too, not that I don't like them. But it's calming to have the house to myself and just relax. i'm always at the office and when i come home I never really get to relax," he admitted. I wasn't quite sure what he was trying to tell me. But I felt kind of bad taking time from his relaxation time by asking this really big favor.
