One Less Lonely Girl

Chapter 9.

Katie's POV
I can't believe my eyes. The person I loved the most.. cheated on me.

I thought he was gonna be the one, the one that's gonna make me happy. But no, it was far from it. He has made me feel miserable.

Tears flow down my face like a river. I couldn't hold it in. I feel worthless.

I ran back home, without any hesitation. I didn't stop for anyone. There was just one thing on my mind, and that is to just lay down on my bed.

I arrived home, and straight away went in my room. I slammed shut my bedroom door and crashed on the bed.

"Why do you have to this Caleb?!" I screamed out loud, as more tears flow out my eyes.

My makeup is ruined. My face looks like some monster, with my eyeliner all over it.

"I'm such a mess!"

But then, I heard a knock on the door.

"Go away!!" I shouted at whoever was knocking.

"Katie let me in" I hear.

I was in no mood for any of this. I just wanted to be alone. All by myself.

But for some reason, my heart says to let whoever that is, in.

"Katie?"

It sounded like it was a guy. Who could it be? I asked myself.

Brennan have been quite emo this past few days. So I don't think it's him. That voice is too deep to be Ryan's. And daddy is at work.

I went to the door and slowly opened it. I looked outside and I was completely shocked.

"What are you doing here Calum?!" I mumbled.

"I was on my way back home from the park but then I saw you rushing back with your hands on your face. I knew something wasn't right" he explained.

I stared at him for awhile. I thought it was a dream but then I snapped out of it. Calum is actually right in front me.

"You don't look too good Katie" he said as he wiped my tears.

I smiled as he does that.

"Yeah, I just.. I don't feel well" I stuttered.

"Are you sure that's the reason? My guess is something else happened" he smirks.

I stared into his eyes. And said it. "Caleb cheated on me" as more tears came running down my face.

He didn't really respond. Instead, he came closer to me and hugged me, tight. Making me feel better, in a way that only he can.

He stroke my back, gently. Just right to make me stop crying. "Its okay Katie" he consolidates me. "I'm sure Caleb won't do that to you" he added.

"But I caught him red handed. His lips were on Liv's" I said to him as I rest my head on his chest.

His warm presence was just what I needed. I didn't wanna let go of him. I don't wanna be anywhere, but here, in his arms.

"Look Katie" he pulls back from me, which made me quite upset.

"You are the most awesome girl I know. You are strong, funny and cute" he said, which made me blush.

"And I'm sure that Caleb thinks that too" he added.

I looked down on the ground and smiled. I wiped the rest of my tears, and started to think straight again.

"I mean, Liv did warn me that something bad was gonna happen" I remembered. "She said that I'm gonna get a taste of my own medicine, or something like that"

"See. That basically explains everything" Calum said excitedly.

I smirked at his excitement.

"But what I saw back there.. is gonna scar me forever. His lips on another girl is just.." I stutter, trying to hold back the tears from coming out again.

Calum must have noticed that I was about to break down again as he hugs me, again. This time, even tighter.

It felt like heaven. His muscular arms warms my cold body. And heals my aching heart.

But then he lets go, yet again upsetting me.

It was different this time though. I looked up, and he has a really concerned look on his face.

"Annie doesn't need to know about this okay?" he said concerningly.

As soon as he said that, my mood went straight out the window. Him mentioning her just made me realize that I'll never get to call him, mine.

"Sure" I plaster a fake smile on my face.

It got a bit awkward after he mentions Annie.

"I guess I'll be going" he says as he puts his hands in his pockets.

"Yeah I guess so.. " I sorrowly said.

"Take care okay Katie? I'll always be here for you if you have any problem" he assures.

"Okay" I slowly said.

I guided him back down, to the front door and opened it.

"Bye Katie" he said before stepping out. "Bye Cal" I replied as he walks down onto the main road, and back home.

Sorry I've been gone for awhile, I'm just having a writers block. Anyways, I feel like I need to get a break every now and then. You know, to freshen up a bit. Quality over quantity am I right?
