Meanwhile downstairs..

Brennan's POV
"So as I was saying, I'm just happy we're back on good terms pal"

"Me too.. pal" Caleb laughs. And I joined him, sarcastically.

I turned my head around, to face the tv. But, right as I did that, from the corner of my eyes, I saw the most beautiful girl I've ever laid my eyes on..

"Hey Brennan" she says, with the most angelic voice. I swear she's from heaven. No one can be this perfect.

I quickly shot up to my feet. "Uh-hey Annie.." I stutter.

Damn it. Why am I so nervous? I only have one chance. I better not screw this up.

"I'm gonna go.. get a shower" Caleb interrupts and excuses himself, as he went straight upstairs.

Leaving only me and her, down here alone.

"So.. what was it that you wanted to talk about?" she asks, looking right into my eyes.

"I heard it was pretty serious" she giggles, adorably.

I just can't with her. The little things she does, always takes my breath away.

"Annie please don't.."

She looked confused as I said that. "What did I do?"

"That" I pointed at her.

"The little things, like when you make a joke that's really not that funny, but you just laugh cause you think it's funny.. it's just too cute.. I can't Annie.."

Her cheeks quickly turns red. Almost as if the blood was going to pop out of her face.

"Your beautiful smile, your adorable laugh, everything about you.. I just.. I miss it so damn much"

"There's not a day that goes by, that I don't think about you.."

"Everyday, I just hope that everything's gonna go back to normal and you'd be by my side.. in my arms.."

"And I would never, ever let you go.." I said to her, with shivers down my spine.

That was good, I finally got to say what's been on my mind for so long.

But she just stood still, confused, looking like she doesn't know what to say, or how to respond.

"Brennan, I.." she tries to blurt out something.

"We can't do this"

I could literally feel my heart getting stabbed as she said that.

"Why? Why Annie?" I asked, but she fails to give an answer.

I could see tears starting to form in her eyes. She was trying hard to hold it in.

"Annie.." I say, slowly stepping closer to her.

"I love you so damn much" I say, with tears of my own starting to stream down my face.
