Lucy fell to the floor, gripping her stomach. Pain shot through her body, as she clung to her injury. Erza walked towards her, ready for another round of hand to hand combat. That kick knocked all the air out of Lucy, she wants some time to recover from it.
"You might be good with a sword, but hand to hand combat you lack strength." Erza said as she circled Lucy. It had been a week since Lucy became a member. They have been training her how to properly use her sword and how to fight with her hands.
Lucy got back up, wiped the dirt from her mouth and put her fists up. She was determined to prove herself, even though she was already a member. She was finally living how she imagined to live, as a pirate. It does have it perks and its disadvantages, she couldn't find one; yet. She would have to train as hard as she could to become the best pirate she could be.
Lucy threw the first punch, Erza swiftly blocked the attempted attack. Lucy backed away in frustration, desperately looking for any possible way to strike her. Erza saw her frustration, she casually smiled. She waited until the girl grew impatient and struck.
Lucy threw her left fist towards Erza, which was deflected, then quickly threw her right, landing a strong punch. Lucy looked stunned as Erza fell to the floor. After all the training sessions she has had, this time was the first time she has actually landed a hit on her. She decided to take advantage of this opportunity and forcefully kicked her in the stomach. Another strike to the face should do it, Lucy thought to herself.
The scarlet beauty counter attacked her, by blocking the attack, she moved her hand out of the way and using her left hand jabbed her in the stomach. The wind was knocked out of Lucy, Erza was able to rise to her feet and chin check her then do a round house kick to the face.
A loud smack rang through the air, then Lucy fell to the floor. She limply crawled away from being injured again. She tried to get up, but failed, falling back down on the ground. Her arms were exhausted from the none stop hand to hand combat. Her arms gave out from under her.
Erza walked over to her, helped her up by throwing one of Lucy's arms around her shoulders. "Alright that's enough training for today. Come on we are going back to your hut." Erza carried Lucy through the training grounds, everyone watched. It took 20 minutes to get Lucy to her hut. She opened the door and placed Lucy on her bed.
After wrapping her wounds, she stayed to explain what Lucy needed to improve on if she ever wanted a chance to advance in hand to hand combat. Lucy took in the information, she would improve if that was the last thing she did.
Erza went into her ice box, gabbed a bowl of water and drank it. She rubbed her jaw, then laughed. "Damn girl, the first time you hit me and you hit me like that. I am just happy it wasn't a sissy hit. Otherwise I would make you run until you die." She took another sip of water, then sat nest to Lucy's bed.
Lucy nervously laughed, "I don't think someone could really run until they died."
"Tell that to Fredrick." A dead stare from Erza made the atmosphere between the two, very intense and uncomfortable.
"Thank you for your advise on training. I coul-"
"Tell me more about Jellal." Erza bluntly stated. Her eyes focused on Lucy like a hawk eyeing its prey.
This caught Lucy off guard. The memories of back in the cabin came rushing back into Lucy's mind. She instantly started putting pieces together, not knowing if there was a past between them, either way she wanted their to be something between them. Hoping that her brother was somewhat of a romantic, surprised her. He was always so uptight, everything had to be done precise.
