Hey guys!! Sorry this took forever but I've been a little caught up.

I reworked the previous chapters mostly where there is dialogue, giving it more depth. I also started including Wills thoughts in italics!

I broke up the large blocks of words and just improved the wording a bit.

Hopefully u guys like the changes!!

Hours passed and I have to admit that I fell asleep with an Oreo in my mouth...

Whoops

Well I got up looked at my phone to check the time and glanced at my lock screen. It was of squad when we were on our first ever mission. We were in the 3rd grade. Our mission was to pretend to go to some party at the skating rink and spy on... Alistair.

The man of your dreams!

No! I don't know why I thought that. I need to get those thoughts out of my mind. ASAP.

It was about 5:30. I had to get going. So I text Castor that I was coming over and walked back to the pantry and put the peanut butter and oreos back. When I entered the mud room I put my shoes on and grabbed my jacket. It was a little chilly outside.

I grabbed my bike and headed out the gate. As I rode I just zoned out. I'd been to Castor's house millions of times so I went into autopilot. I could be left to my thoughts. I honestly wish I wasn't though. I tended to over think things.

I don't know why but I'd been having a lot of trouble with boys lately. I practically ran over Alistair and he basically threw me in the trash; breaking my heart. Esmond seemed mad at me for even talking to Butch and- BUTCH.

Omg I had a date with him... Was I leading him on? I didn't mean to do that! Cause I didn't like him like that I just wanted to go to the concert to see my favorite band. Would it be rude if I backed out? Would he think it was because Esmond didn't approve?? Ugh this was too much...

Well lucky for me my thoughts were interrupted by the fact that I was here. At Castor's. Safe from myself.

I knocked at the door.

Wait what am I doing?

I didn't need to knock, this was basically home. I don't know why I knocked. I haven't in years.

I just stood there awkwardly lost in thought again. The door opened. It was Castor.

"Um... Did you just knock?"

She looked suprised. I came back down to earth.

"Uh ya"

"Oh"

"Sorry I'm just a little off right now"

"No it's ok"

It was quiet for a moment.

Silence. Eww.

"Um. Can we go inside now?"

Castor just looked at me.

"It's cold"

"Ya come on in"

I stepped inside and stopped when I got a few steps in.

"I'm just gonna change real quick. I'll be right down", Castor told me as she headed up the stairs.

She was in her Pj's.

I just stood there and checked myself in the mirror hanging on the wall. I was wearing capri black leggings with ripped jean booty shorts overtop, black boots, a PATD t-shirt, and my ledderman jacket. I had my messy bottle blond hair with dark brown roots up in a messy bun and a red bandana was tied around my head ,the knot to the front, for a headband.

I looked ok.

Castor soon descended from the stairs. She was out of her comfy Pj's and now in highwaisted jean joggers, a floral printed crop top, sandals, and her signature lace cardigan that almost reached the floor.

I wish I was that pretty when dressing "casual".

As she grabbed her purse I opened the door and held it open for her as we walked out. Castor grabbed her bike and carried it off the porch. We both mounted our old yet noble steeds and were off to Two Scoops where we'd meet Esmond just in time to head to the Diner.

We said nothing as we road. Just watched the leaves fall and waved to the friendly shop owners nearby. Castor knew something was troubling me, but she knew I would come to her when I felt the need to. That's why she just let me be.

I wish she didn't know me so well, then she'd say something to get my mind off all this drama. But no. Castor just had to let me suffer.

----------

When we arrived at Two Scoops we saw Esmond emerge from the back just on time.

"Hey guys", he said while putting on his sweater.

"Hiya Essy"

He hated being called that.

"Willoughby"

I just smiled and he returned the gesture.

The three of us walked out of the shop, the little bell chiming behind us. We got on our bikes and my eyes met with Esmonds. He looked at me with this stupid boy smile and I turned to Castor. She knew what that look meant. And so did I. I wasn't losing a bet.

"10 bucks!", I shouted as I sped toward downtown.

Castor and Esmond peddled viciously behind me. I laughed and put my hands in the air, letting go of the handle bars. I felt the breeze on my skin and the leaves of the trees brushing my fingertips. It felt good. I felt good. The best I've felt in a while.

------------

I was the first to reach the Diner surprise surprise. But as soon as I pulled up Esmond sped in followed by Castor. After we had properly set up our bikes we made our way inside. But before I let them in I blocked the doorway and held out my hand. Esmond pulled out a crunched up 5 from his pocket and Castor reached into her hand sewn purse and gave me another 5. I gave them a satisfied smile and pushed open the doors ready to find out what all the trouble was about.
