My eyes slowly opened and my vision was blurry.
"Who's there?" I asked in a quiet voice. I couldn't believe it. My day was already starting off crazy.
"Guess," the smooth voice whispered. Then the man leaned in and gave me a kiss. That certainly woke me up.
My eyes opened wide as I finally made out who was right there in front of me.
"What the..."
"Shhhh."
"Kevin. What are you doing here."He pulled one of his arms from behind his back and handed me a bouqet of roses in a vase. It was so beautiful.
"That's not it," he said smiling. Then he brought the other arm from behind his back and handed me a box of chocolates. Perfect timing considering I had just started my period yesterday.
"Kevin I..."
"Shh baby. You don't have to say anything. I came here to tell you I'm sorry for already starting our relationship off bad. Can you forgive me?"
"I forgave you last night!" I giggled. "But you didn't have to do all this for me."
"Baby I wanted to. I really care about you and want us to last."
"Awww Kevin you're so sweet thank you."
"You're welcome baby."Then he leaned in and gave me a kiss and started to put his tongue in my mouth when I pulled back.
"I should probably brush my teeth and stuff," I said laughing.
"Oh yea I forgot," he said, and laughed also.I got up and walked across my room and into my bathroom. I got ready and hopped in the shower. I made sure I showered quick so he wouldn't try to hop in there with me. As soon as I finished I walked out into my room, only to find that Kevin had gone.
I looked from my flowers to my chocolates, then to my door. It was wide open.
I hurried and got dressed, then ran down the stairs calling Kevin's name. When I got to the bottom of the stairs I ran into the kitchen to find Dreana and Kevin sitting at the table laughing and talking about something.
I guess Davionna was right about Dreana feeling better.
I walked into the kitchen and couldn't stop myself from frowning at Dreana and Kevin.
"Good morning Sis," Dreana said smiling.
"Hi."
"What's wrong? I thought you would be happier considering the gifts Kevin just brought you."I ignored her and walked to the fridge. Wow. There was waffles in it. I pulled them out and put two in the toaster. I patiently waited for them while listening to Dreana and Kevin talking about how much of a f-boy Darrion was.
My waffles were finished so I grabbed the necessary materials for eating waffles. I also grabbed the orange juice and some ginger ale as a substitute for alcohol in my juice.
"Aww sis I'm proud of you for choosing the ginger ale instead of the alcohol."
Oh no she didn't.
"Dreana why would you say that mess in front of Kevin."
"Babe chill I already knew about you drinking. The whole school knows."
"Now how would the school know I drink."
"Remember that one time you came to school hungover Jai," Dreana pointed out.I was trippin. I definitely owed Dreana an apology.
"Oh right."
But if course, as stubborn as I am, I could not bring myself to do so. Instead I walked out the kitchen embarrassed and up to my bed room with my waffles and drink. Then I set my food on my bed and started to close the door when a large brown skinned hand stopped me.
"You got room for one more?"
Of course it was Kevin.
"Yea I guess."
