The final bell rang and everyone piled out the classroom. Lamar and I gradually got my things together and walked out the classroom. He carried my textbooks for me, and we walked down the hallway towards the exit. Kevin and all his friends were standing there, and of course they all stared at me and Lamar. Lamar flashed them what I call his "thugga thugga look" or "thug look". They all flashed a look back, and he said, "Wassup? What yall lookin at us for?"
"Lamar!" I hissed. "Chill let's just get outta here."
He ignored me and walked over to them.
"Jai you better get yo brother before we have some problems," said Tali. "What yall gone do."
Everything went downhill from there. It all happened so fast. One of them made the mistake of steppin up to Lamar and gettin all in his face. Lamar threw my books down, swung and his fist made contact with the guy's temple. He put him to sleep.
"AW DANG!" someone yelled. "Lamar let's go!" I said panicking.
The funny thing is, after that, one after another came after Lamar, and he took all of them out. He had help though, because a few guys that knew him from his old schools was there. Then, there was just Kevin, Alston, and Ditalian. They just stood there. Alstin went at one of Lamar's friends and Tali to the another. It was Kevin and Lamar.
I knew if I didn't act fast somethin was bound to happen, and I could feel the principals comin soon. So I grabbed both of their hands, and ran with both of them out to Dre's car. We all squeezed in, and I told Dre to hurry and go and not ask questions. She quickly got out of that lot and drove us all home.
We all piled out the car and I briefly explained what had happened. Lamar and Kevin was still eyein each other, so I asked Lamar to go inside. He reluctantly went inside, followed by Dreana and Davionna. It was just me and him.
"I should probably take you home." "I guess," he said frowning.
We got into my vette and I dropped him off at his grandma's house. He thanked me for the ride, got out the car, and went inside. I made sure he got in, then drove back home. When I got there, there was another vehicle in front of our house that looked familiar.
I parked the car and walked inside. I heard a deep voice talking to what sounded like Dreana and Davionna in the kitchen. I walked inside to see who it was. They all turned around and looked at me.
"Wasspoppin Jai!" "What's good Mike!" I said smiling.
