NOT THE ONLY ONES

7. MR. RUDE BECOMES MR. SWEET

"Do you want off from the practice today " Rob asks me.

"Really you would let me take an off from the practice today "

He nods.

Wow he's become so sweet.

"Yes please. I could really use a break. I m really exhausted with all this workload and professor's been a little angry the last few days. Thanks for asking "

"Anytime " he answers and smiles beautifully at me.

"So what do you wanna do? He asks me.

"Are we gonna hang out or what? I mean I never actually went out with a boy"

"Boy? I am a man. And there's a first time for everything " he says.

"How old are you? 25-28?

"23" he answers.

"Wait. How did you get into the military so early?

"Don't you wanna have fun moreover it's a long story
Let's go " he says.

"I m sure I can keep up. Oh! I wanted to save my first for a guy I liked, a gentleman "

"And I m no gentlemen "? He asks.

"Nopes "

We walk out of my school building towards the parking lot. He motions me towards a Harley Davidson. My eyes pop out of their sockets. .

He takes in my appearance for a second and then comes and stands in front of me.

"What" ? He asks flicking his fingers in front of me.

"You never told me you had a Harley Davidson"

"I didn't tell you a lot of things about me, Why are you making such a big deal out of this? He asks motioning towards his bike

"Coz I Loovee bikes "

"All right. Good , Now shall we go? I don't want to explain anything to professor " he says.

I could not decide what I wanted to do so I let him decide and he is taking me somewhere, I don't know where he hasn't told me.

We are at a beautiful park. The walkway is covered with different colours of leaves- yellowgold, red and green. The trees are swaying with the wind. the weather is perfect.

I wish I weren't in my school uniform but my normal clothes.

I sigh inwardly.

I yank out the rubber band from my hair and my hair fall free till my waist.

I start humming to myself and dance, well I just start swaying naturally.

I hear a chuckle behind me so I turn around.

Oh! Shit I had forgotten I was not alone. Robby laughs at me but I m too happy to notice that I m his source of laughter.

I continue my humming and dancing. I hear footsteps so I know that Robby's following me.

I see a candyfloss vendor.

"Robby, let's eat the candyfloss please"

"Eww no. Its way too sticky and sugary and you are not a child anymore" he says

"Please please please " I say putting on my puppy face.

"All right you can eat it. Come let's go " he says.

"Hey can you please give me a candyfloss " he says to the vendor.

The Vendor looks at him confused and I burst out laughing on seeing their expressions.
