Nothing to lose

In the surge to stride forward

In the race to touch the sky

I often tend to lose myself

I often crash before I could fly.

I fear the failure I might face

I fear the danger that awaits

I fear that reality might just burst

the dream-bubble that imagination creates.

I stand among the thick black clouds

of underestimation and dread so profound

that I cannot see the talent in me

the ability that I had once found

Despite the fear, I take a step

and stumble through the pebbles and stones

I come across the hardships of life

while walking on a path unknown.

I try to climb the ladder of success

But I make mistakes and end up losing it all

I'm desperately trying to get hold of things

while the world silently watches me fall.

And now I've lost all I once had

'try again' or 'give up' is for me to choose

but my fear of failure exists no more

for now I have nothing to lose...

Just a simple message --that not trying something because of fear of failure is not the way....once we've failed..we're left with nothing to lose and thus, we don't fear failure anymore. The greatest fear is fear itself... ~heavenlyhaze
