Note
Sorry for taking so long guys! I've been at summer camp without my phone for a few weeks (nature camp, ew), so I had no time to update. I wrote this in less than an hour, so it's kinda rushed, sorry about that. Oh, and by the way, please leave a comment if you see some spelling or grammatical errors, and please, please, please let me know if you'd like to see more!

My story of the underground started on a sunny day at my school. All of classmates were playing outside on the playground and enjoying life, while I could just barely be seen hiding in a crevice under a tube slide, writing in my old, beat up notebook. As you can probably assume, I was an extremely introverted child, and would usually prefer to keep to myself.
As usual, I was spending my time writing about an infamous local legend. It went that long ago, monsters lived amongst us humans on earth peacefully. All was well until one day, a monster went rouge and killed several humans, starting a war, and seven human magicians were forced to seal all of the  monsters under Mount Ebott, a nearby mountain. The legend says that those who climb the mountain never return, but I had never met anyone who believes it. I've always been so curious about this local legend, and write stories about it in my notebook in my spare time. It was a dream of mine to meet these creatures and study them, find out about their lives. My classmates would make fun of me for it, so I had stopped telling people.
That day, I was just about to start a story in which I was the protagonist studying Mount Ebott, when a boy I'm my class named Nick approached me, eyeing the notebook. "Whatcha got there?," he asked teasingly, with eyes that seemed to stare into the depths of my soul. He was known for bullying the classmates that showed traits different than the status quo, so I was naturally a bit worried when he walked over here.
"Is that some kind of nerd crap?" He half yelled as he reached for my notebook that was already falling apart. I tried to protest, clinging on to the purple cover desperately, but Nick was determined to obtain it and ripped the cover off of it altogether. My eyes wide, I gasped in horror as Nick look through my stories that I had spent so long writing. He laughed as he turned through the pages, and narrowed his eyes when he reached on of my favorites. In this story, I had climbed Mount Ebott, and freed the monsters from the underground. He spent a good three minutes reading my chicken-scratch handwriting and finally turned to me and quietly whispered three words that would change my destiny.
"I dare you."
