Note:
Hey guys! Thanks for reading Perseverance so far! I hope you enjoy the future chapters. By the way, I might as well mention that this is my first official fanfiction, so any helpful tips would be amazing! Also, sorry that the chapters are so short. It's likely that they will get longer as the story progresses and there's a set plot and everything. Thanks guys!!!
-Sophia ^w^POST-NOTE:
So sorry guys!!! I wrote this and had it on Wattpad for a couple of days now, and for some reason it didn't publish. It probably had to do with the fact that I was tracing that day, and I was exhausted. I probably didn't even notice that there was no connection when I tried to publish it. I WILL TRY MY BEST NOT TO DO THIS AGAIN!
Enjoy chapter two!!!

Wth did I mean by "tracing?" I have no clue. Sorry about that. Welp, enjoy...Post-post-post note:
I now know that I meant to type "traveling" but it came up as tracing. Just thought y'all should know :P

His voice rang in my head, those same three words on a loop in my brain.
"E-excuse me?" I stammered, my voice timid.
"You heard me. Climb the mountain. I dare you."
I looked away. There was no way I could give in to a bully like him.But even so...
There was a part of me, a very small part of me, that longed for adventure. There was a part of me that so badly desired to discover the truth about the monsters that supposedly lived under Mount Ebott.
"I d-don't know if I-I can," I said, my voice wavering.
"You have to! It's a dare. If you don't, I won't give back your book!," he yelled dangling my beat up purple notebook by the page he had opened up to. He was making such a ruckus, that at this point, the other classmates were starting to stare.
"NO! PLEASE," I shouted in a panic.
"I'll climb the mountain, just please give back my notebook," I said quickly reaching up to my trusted spiral.
Nick grinned slightly, and tossed the book at my feet.
"Meet me there tomorrow, after school ends. I need to make sure you don't chicken out."
That night, I laid awake, in fear of what would happen after school the next day. So many thought crowded my head at once, leaving me even more confused and upset, and making me realize that all I could do was wait.^w^
