I just updated the cover page again, but it still looks awful, so if you know someone willing to do a cover for me, please let me know. Thanks!!!

It must've been hours. After a fall such as this, it was a miracle to have survived. After finally gaining my consciousness, I opened my eyes, realizing that I still couldn't see. Fortunately, my glasses were nearby, scratched up and cloudy, but functional nonetheless. The sky far above me was illuminating the area a bit, as it was morning now, so I could barely make out the shape of my thick rectangle frames. I attempted to reach my arm out and retrieve them, but immediately flinched, realizing that I had landed on my right arm, causing a clean break.
This is bad news, I thought to myself, wondering how to escape from this pit below the mountain. The remainder of my body faired well compared to my arm, though, other than the many bruises and scrapes I had gotten on the way down. I reached out my left arm slowly, groaning, as the limb was entirely black and blue.
After I had retrieved the glasses, I donned them, and took in my situation. I had landed on a singular, lonely flower bed of golden blossoms, which I considered strange, because other than the flowers, the area was completely dark. Slowly but surely, I picked myself up, and noticed a passageway to my left, seeming to lead to what looked like... A door? No, that's impossible, my brain told me. Unless... No, it couldn't possibly be, I told myself, there's no way. But regardless, I hobbled down the strangely dark hall, and through the door.
After walking through the door, I found myself in a room. It was all dark and empty except for a green circle in the middle, and a flower, not unlike the ones that broke my fall, protruding from it. Up ahead, I could see another door, but as I made my way towards it I hear a sound that did not belong to myself, one of the first sounds I had heard in hours. It sounded like a voice, a very high pitched voice, and I could not pinpoint where the sound came from, but I could make out what it was saying."Howdy!"

Hmm, I wonder who that voice belongs to... I know I said I'd properly introduce characters in this chapter, but this will have to do for now. Sorry about the length, but it's pretty late, and I have an orientation thing for school tomorrow at 7:30 in the morning (lucky me).
By the way, thanks to the three people that have read the whole story so far. If you're reading this right now, it's most likely you. I'll try to update as fast as possible, and the next chapter will be longer (I promise).-Sophia (-_-)
