Stevie stood there in shock, did Lindsey just say that the baby Carol Ann was carrying wasn't his either, she had to go to him, had to find out what was going on, rushing to out the door she ran down the corridor seeing him leaving the door, running as fast as she could tripping over at the last second, managing to put her arms out so she fell onto her hands and knees instead of her stomach, getting up quickly she opened the door and saw Lindsey driving off, screaming and kicking the door in annoyance,only then did she realize she had cut her palms when she fell

Getting into her car she grabbed the first aid kit and cleaned and bandaged her hands, turning the key in the ignition she pulled out the drive way and headed for Lindsey's house

Pulling up outside she breathed relief when she saw his car pull in the drive way, pulling up along side she got out and ran to the door knocking, Lindsey opening it with an angry expression on his face

"What do you want? You've said what you wanted to, as you said this decision has nothing to do with me, so go get rid of it, Marry Don because I don't care anymore" without saying anything Stevie rushed up to him pulled him down with a hand on the back of his neck and touched their foreheads together

"Were you telling me the truth?" Lindsey closed his eyes and let his tears fall, nodding his head

"Yes, hers isn't mine, and this..." placing his hands on her stomach "isn't mine either"

"Oh baby...are you sure?" He looked into her eyes

"She thinks I'm stupid, she's just slightly under five months, we last had sex six months ago, I keep more track than she does"

"So why are you still with her?"

"I don't know, I suppose as selfish as this sounds but it's because I couldn't have you"

"You can have me! We can have more children together..."

"I want this one Steph, I already feel connected to them, and I don't know if I can have children"

"What do you mean?" She looked at him confused

"I've had unprotected sex with Carol Ann a few times by accident, and you and I never ever use protection and I've never once gotten you pregnant, I went to see a Dr and they told me there is a chance that I could reproduce but there's a higher chance that I won't..."

"Linds..." Stevie began to cry for him

"It's okay, if you can't handle that it's fine I just want you to know that. I want you to have children, and if that's not with me then so be it, I just hope the guy knows how lucky he is to be able to have little ones that look like you"

"If I married you and we never had our own children together then so be it, we have each other and we could always built a life with our children in our heads"

"What about the one in you right now?"

"That's what I wanted to talk to you about"

"Okay?"

"Would you...be my babies daddy?" Stevie watched as Lindsey sat down and started to cry, pulling Stevie to himself by the hips and kissing her belly

"Yes I will, I would be honoured!"

Stevie stayed that night and they lay there in bed talking about the new life they were going to have, first thing was first was he needed to end things with Carol Ann

"Will she be mad do you think?"

"She has no reason to, the baby isn't even mine, there's no tie between us, hopefully she will be alright with it, we got into a fight the other day and i was so close to throttling her! She was calling you some names and I couldn't stand it, I had to walk out" Stevie leaned over and kissed him

"Thank you for doing this! I love you so much!"

"I love you too!"

Lindsey left the next morning to go see Carol Ann, he left Stevie at his and told her she would see him later at the venue, Lindsey kissed her and the unborn baby goodbye and went to break off his relationship

Lindsey rang Carol Ann's doorbell and it was soon answered, she flung herself at him immediately

"Lindsey where have you been I've been worried sick!"

"We need to talk"

"Okay what about?" She said once they were in the house

"I think we should break up" he got straight to the point

"Lindsey I'm pregnant with your child"

"Stop it Carol, I know that's a lie! We havnt had sex for six months and your barely five months pregnant"

"It's because of her isn't it?" she realised she had been busted so she changed the subject

"If you mean Stevie yes it is, she needs my help"

"Oh I bet she does, needs you to warm her bed at night does she?"

"Shut up! It's none of your business but Stevie is pregnant, the father has told her he wants nothing to do with the baby, she's my best friend so I'm going to be there for her!"

"What if I need help? My babies father isn't around either"

"Damn it Carol Ann, you don't get it!" Lindsey punched the nearest wall to him

"So, the little whore gets herself knocked up and you've got to rush in and save her? How she even knows who the father is is beyond me..."

"SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH!" Lindsey spun round in anger to face her, he'd had enough of her running her mouth about Stevie...

Stevie arrived at the venue and went straight to her dressing room, applying her make up and tying her silk robe around herself, she heard a knock and the door and opened it expecting to see Lindsey but instead saw Lindsey's now ex girlfriend

"Oh Stevie!" She said before bursting into tears "I didn't know who else to come to!"

Carol Ann walked inside and Stevie gasped at her appearance, she had a newly swollen black eye, and a cut lip

"What happened to you?"

"Lindsey..." she said struggling to breath through her sobs "We got into an argument, and he got scary, I tried to get away but he pulled me back and hit me, then he did it again, it was so hard Stevie, it hurt so much, I never thought he was capable of this" she cried again and all Stevie could do was hug her

Lindsey couldn't of done this could he? She thought back to how he said he could have throttled her during the last argument. He had grabbed her sometimes a little hard when they were together a few years back but he never hit her, had he really changed that much? She didn't want to believe it

"I'll go and get you some water honey, stay here" Stevie opened her door and walked out to go to the water fountain when she stopped, Lindsey was walking through the doors, not having spotted her yet, Stevie looked down to his hand to where his knuckles where bandaged and her mind for whether he had hit his girlfriend or not was made up for her
