Chapter 3: Mistaken

Meghan's POV

"Lia, please tell me this is a joke or something." David says.

"Nope, he invited me and another girl to go to Brazil."

"Wait, another girl? Who?" I ask.

"Umm yeah, about that.. You'll get a heart attack if I tell you." Lia says.

"I already have one, so you better tell us." I demand.

"Fine, London."

"London?! As in, my girlfriend and his ex?!" David says.

I can clearly tell that David hates Jay, the guy who's taking Lia and London, David' girlfriend, to Brazil. At this point I really want to punch Lia in her face, but I can't.

Going to Brazil is an awesome opportunity, but why wouldn't she tell us? Was she afraid we would stop her or something? As much as I hate Jay, I know Lia loves him. On the other hand, Lia knew that London would come too. She should've told us. Although, now I'm wondering..

"Why is London coming too? Didn't she tell you, David?" I ask.

"Jay invited her, she said yes, easy as that." Lia says.

"She told me she was going to spend her whole vacation at home." David says with a sad and angry voice.

"Where's London? I'm going to talk to her." I say.

"She's at the McDonalds, over there." Lia points in the direction of the McDonalds.

"Stay here buddy, I'm going there on my own." I say.

"What are you going to say?" LiA asks.

"I'll figure that out." I answer.

"The McDonalds.. We went there on our first date.." David says.

I can't handle David's sad face, so I give him a hug. "It's going to be alright, I'll talk to her and then we'll go to Vidcon!"

"Thanks Meghab, you're the best friend I could've ever wished for."

"I know, I'm awesome!" I wink and head to the McDonalds, without a clue what I'm going to say. Probably just some questions and then go with the flow.

"Hey London." I tap on her shoulder, she's sitting alone at a table eating a McFlurry.

London turns around. "Oh what? Hey!" She looks surprised, well, I would be surprised as well.

"So.. I heard you're going to Brazil?" I ask.

"Yeah right, how'd you know?"

"I bumped into Lia before, she told me you two were going to Brazil."

Lies. I obviously knew Jay invited them to go there, but I'm curious to see how she reacts.

"Ah okay, Lia and I are going to you know, have a vacation with a lot of relaxation."

"Just Lia and you huh?"

"Yeah."

"Are you sure?" I begin to lose my chill.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure."

I can't keep it in anymore and lowkey begin to yell at her. "The two of you?! Liar! So who's taking you there huh? Lia already told me about Jay!"

London looks at me shocked. "Jay? What's with Jay?"

"He's the one taking you to Brazil!"

"But..."

"Like, how dare you?! He's your goddamn ex-boyfriend! No one does that! You have a boyfriend remember? David!" I realise that I've been saying that while moving way too much with my hands, but at this point I don't even care.

"Meghan! Listen to me!" I'm still mad, but decide to listen to what she has to say. "This is a mistake! Look, I have the tickets."

She shows me the tickets, it's a ticket for two persons, for Lia and London.
"Fine, I believe you. Now, what's Jay doing here?" I ask.

"I honestly don't know."

"My bad, sorry." I apologise.

"No need to apologise. It was a mistake."

"What is this madness, ugh."

"It's called life." London says desperately.
