Autumn checked herself out in the mirror. She didn't like what she saw, her hair was a mess when she woke up so she didn't even try to curl it. Lets live in a beanie today, yeah? she told herself and put on her gray big beanie. Her body was failing her today too. Nothing looked good. She hated everything.
Maybe it was because she had broken up with Dan after Sarah told her about the thing. Fucking bastard cheating on her with her own fucking sister. Yeah, that's right, her two years younger sister Diana hooked up with Dan. Autumn refused to even look at her, it was driving Diana insane.
"It wasn't even meant to happen. Okay?" she tried when Autumn walked past her in the living room yesterday. Diana was sitting on the sofa, watching The Notebook.
Autumn turned around, with death in her eyes.
"But it did!" she snapped. "You could've said no! You knew we were a couple. But that doesn't bother your whore mind, does it?" Before Diana could anser Autumn was on her way to her room.
She was wearing a black shorts with studs, knee high socks and a The Wonder Years hoodie. It felt wrong. She tried drowing the thoughts with music screaming from her headphones. Alex Gaskarth, vocalist for All Time Low, was singing "If I catch you on the corner, will you even know it's me?" Autumn wanted to cry. How could Dan do that?
She shook her head. No, stop thinking about. I will not let him ruin my day more.
Autumn took her bag and walked downstairs, into the kitchen where she was hit by the smell of new brewed coffee.
Her mother and Diana was sitting at the table. Diana scrolling through her phone, her mother talking on the phone. Autumns mother worked as a lawyer, so she was always busy and out of town.
"i'll see you on friday, Hank." she said to the person on the other side of the line. Guessing Hank. "Yes.. Yes I've got the papers. It's fine, no really, you need me for the job so I'll be there." She tug her brown hair behind her ear. "Yes, that'll be great. Thank you, bye." She hung up and put the phone on the table, she looked up and saw Autumn pouring herself a cup of coffee.
"Not having breakfast, hun?" she asked. She took a sip of her coffee. "There's new bread on the counter and jui-"
Autumn slammed her cup down on the counter, it was empty now. She starred at Diana.
"Lost my appitetie. I'm heading to school. Bye." Autumn walked out the door and into her car. She started blasting All Time Low again.
Don't sweat it, forget it, everything is okay
Just let it go then it's off to find another face
Damnit Alex, she thought. I don't need this. She put her foot on the gas and rolled off to school.
Almost there her phone rang, it was playing Damnit by Blink-182, which meant it was Sara.
"What? I'm almost at school.." Autumn said pulling in on the parking lot.
"Don't get out of your car, wer're not going to school. You're not okay. We're going to take a coffee and buy a book." Sarah hung up and the car door opened.
Sara was wearing an almost exact utfit as Autumn herself.
"How did you know I'm not okay?" Autumn said, pulling out of the parking lot, heading to town. Sara looked in the mirror, fixing her hair and make up. Looking over at Autumn and rolling her eyes.
"Honey, please" she sighed. "One, it's written all over you" Autumn changed her expression a bit. Sara shook her head. "Not working hun. 2. Dan cheated on you with your sister, I know you. You won't just walk that off." She started to smile.
