Melinda 27

I turned away from the sun shining in my face. That's what I get from moving to California. The sun is always shining. I got up with my eyes still closed to close the blinds.

I went back to sleep not bothering to cover up with the blanket. Today was the only day I didn't have class and I was planning to sleep in. I ignored the pillows and blanket under me and went to sleep.

Michael alarm clock went off in the next room. I tried ignoring it but it was too loud. His music started playing too which made it worse.

"Agghh" I screamed getting up. I walked into his room slamming the door. He wasn't in there and the sound wasn't coming from there. I went back out in the hallway of our apartment and went next door. He better not had chosen a roommate without me.

"Hey!" I called standing over the body hiding under the covers. There were two big suitcases in the closet. I looked at the body again.

"Hey you!" I called again. They were no response. I turned off the alarm clock and music and got on the bed to wake the person up.

"Hey" I called shaking the body. The person got up knocking me over. They flipped me around and they were now on top of me.

"You still don't know how to knock"

My heart stopped when I looked up. I didn't know what to say. I pulled myself up hitting my forehead on his. He backed up and I flipped back around. I was now on top with my hand around his neck.

"There's no point you sleep like you died"

I stared down at Ryan as he grabbed my hand. I slowly released it around from his neck. I stared down at him as he stared back at me.

"Sorry I'm late. Sorry that it took me awhile to figure out it was you that I want. I love you Melinda, and I will do whatever I can to keep you safe"

I blinked the tears away. He set up and kissed me. He pulled away when i didn't kiss him back.

"I love you Melinda, and I'm sorry for hurting you. I missed you so much and I'm not going anywhere so please say something"

    I pulled away and punched him on the shoulder.

"Ouch, what was that for?" He said robbing his shoulder. I looked at him wrapping my arms around his neck.

"Don't ever, leave me again" I told him. We both stared at each other not saying anything. He smiled and pulled me close to him.

"I will never leave you again. I promise" he whispered. I smiled at him and hugged him tight. He ran his hands on my back and kissed down my neck. He pulled away to look at me.

"Let's 'reset the rules" I told him pulling away. I went to get up but he hold on tighter to me.

"Same rules" he said. "But this time we do the opposite" He whispered kissing my lips. I smiled at him and kissed him back. He pulled away and looked at me. "I love you"

"I love you too Kyle" I whispered back pulling his lips back to mines. I laughed as he flipped me landing on my back. He kissed down my stomach. I arch my back and looked down at him. He smiled as he flicked his tongue. Yep, this was how I wanted my first semester to go.
