He appears

Two years of waiting, passed before my eyes. I began going to a church in the small town that I lived in. My faith was growing, but I was still waiting. It was now March. Easter was coming, and there was news of a new pastor, his wife, and two sons were to come in April... After Easter. At that moment, a new hope had formed. A new praise team would rise in the old Baptist church, and perhaps, a new friendship or two would also form. Maybe even more..
. . .

Finally, the Wednesday before Easter showed. I arrived at the church in my red '95 Chevy 1500 and turned off the ignition. As soon as I get out, a guy with most beautiful blue eyes, wavy brown hair, and wearing a T-shirt and jeans, walked down the stairs onto the rock pavement, locking eyes with me.
In awe, I just stare into his eyes and find him smiling back at me.

"Hi, I'm Drew. My real name is Andrew, but everyone calls me Drew for short."
"Hi, I'm Beth."
"Is your real name Elizabeth, but they call you Beth?"
"Yes, actually." I say, giggling a little.
"How long have you been going here?"
"About three years. I stopped going for a while because of my dad.."
"What happened with your dad? If I may ask that is."
"Really bad car accident.. They hit a cow on the way home at 3am, one morning, a couple of years ago. My mom was ejected from the car and somehow survived, and my dad was killed. I found him in the car, upside down, head on the wheel..."
"Awe.. I'm so sorry.." He said, pulling me in for a hug.
"It's ok.."
