Love at first sight

Chapter 2

As Newt showed me around all I could think about was why I was the only girl here and most importantly why I was here in the first place.
"Are you alright love" he ask taking me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah I'm good, just trying to process all of this."
"Yeah it is a lot to take in in one day"
"Yeah it is"
"It's ok you will get through it" he says putting his hand on my shoulder.

It went silent as we continue walking to one of the huts.

"Are you hungry" he asks to break the silence.
"Yeah I am pretty hungry"
"I would think so considering you skipped breakfast and u haven't eaten all day."

As we walk in to the kitchen newt introduces my to frypan our cook.
"Y/n this it frypan our cook fry this is y/n the new greenie.

"Nice to meet you" I say as I grab my bowl off frypan.

"Nice to meet you too" he says handing me a bowl of what seemed to be tomato soup.

We make our way over to one of the tables where 3 guys were sitting one of them being younger than the others.

"Y/n this is Minho, Thomas and Chuck, guys this is y/n" he mentions. As I sit down I glancing around looking at each of them for a quick second. I choose to sit down beside Minho and chuck whilst in front of me was Newt and beside him was Thomas.

As the guys were talking I found my self looking a Newt a lot but I made sure that it wasn't obvious.

I look up at him thinking he would not recognise me but when I looked up he was looking at me. He flashes me a smile and I smile back. We both look down at or soup with a big smile on our faces.
