I let out a rather large yawn as my alarm went off, alerting me that it was time to get ready for school. I hopped out of bed and went to my dresser to pick out a simple outfit, a t-shirt and some jeans. I walked into my bathroom and undressed, I slipped into the shower and once I was done I turned off the water and stepped back out into my foggy bathroom.
Putting on my clothes, I exited my bathroom. I sat down at my vanity and quickly done some makeup, just a light coverage to cover up my dark circles. I really needed to stop staying up so late. I stared at myself in the mirror as I fixed my hair, my honey colored eyes popping out against my dull, light brown hair.
I jumped up in my seat when my phone began ringing, the loud annoying ringtone I had chosen scared me to death. I looked at the screen, a silly curly-haired blonde girl appeared, with the name "The Grace" on my screen. I smiled and picked up the phone,
"Hey Grace!"
"Hey Tristan," I heard Grace whisper in the phone.
"What's up?"
"Well...."
"Spit it out, what do you need now?"
"Could you please, please, pick me up again! I know I already owe you so much gas money, but my car is still in the shop."
"I'm pretty sure I told you not to worry about the gas money, it's a pleasure to pick up my best friend in the morning."
"Oh, thank you! I love you bunches,"
"Alright, I will be there in a bit..."
"Wait, wait!"
"What?"
"Bring me some breakfast!"
"Do I sound like a delivery service to you?"
"Yes..."
"Alright, alright! I'll be there, bye now." I laughed and hung up the phone. That was my best friend Grace Bright, we have known each other since pre-k. When we got to high school we decided we both wanted to go to cosmetology school, so we did. We both applied to Dreamont University that summer and we both got accepted.
I grabbed my backpack, phone, and keys along with some Pop-Tarts for Grace.
I unlocked the door to my small, white, Cr-z and drove off to Grace's house. When I arrived at Grace's house I knocked on the door and waited.
Grace lived in a very pretty house, it was brick with a dark brown roof. There were several beautiful plants surrounding the house that her father often kept up with. Grace's father was a gardener, and her mother... well, she passed away when Grace was very little. I had offered for Grace to stay with me, but she declined, she thought it was best to help her dad with money and her little brother.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard the door open, "Well, good morning Tristan, looks like you're picking up Grace again this morning." Grace's dad said letting out a chuckle.
"I sure am, and the sooner we leave, the better!" I said calling out the last part a little bit louder.
I knew Grace heard me when I heard obnoxiously loud footsteps coming towards the door.
"Gotta run dad, talk to you later!" Grace said sliding through the door.
I waved goodbye as Grace and I headed back towards my car.
"Please tell me you brought me food, I am starving!" Grace whined buckling her seatbelt.
"Oh, so sorry, must have forgotten." I said giving her an apologetic look.
