Rose was suddenly ripped away from the Doctor and Martha, and found herself in Cardiff, on the exact spot where the rift was located. She recognized it because she had been there before with the Doctor and their friend Jack, whom she had accidentally given a never-ending life to. Rose wasn't sure who was in control of her at that point - was it herself, Bad Wolf, or even the TARDIS? She was no longer a singular being, but a combination of all three. She wasn't just a human anymore. She didn't understand why she still existed, why she hadn't burned already.
The blonde woman was lost in thought as she stared off into the distance her eyes glazed with tears that didn't seem to be able to fall. A man who ran past her had seemed to wake her from her thoughts as she turned to face the direction he went he was no longer there it was as if he disappeared midstep. Perhaps he wasn't there to begin with.
Rose's POV
As soon as the Doctor found Martha, I attempted to call out to him. I wasn't sure what I was going to say, but I knew I needed him to explain what I was or why I existed. A small part of me longed to hear his voice once again. However, as I opened my mouth to speak and tried to move forward, I experienced an odd sensation. It felt like I was both drowning and levitating simultaneously. My atoms were being pulled apart and smashed back together again. I closed my eyes in pain and discomfort, and when I opened them, I found myself outside the water tower in Roald Dahl Plass, near the spot where we had landed to refuel long ago.
I met Micky at this location, after creating an excuse to see him. I wanted to know what he had been up to since leaving Pete's World. I was lost in thoughts remembering an adventure that took place in this very area, remembering my leather jacket Doctor, to Micky and Jack. Suddenly, a man rushed past me wearing a coat that I recognized. My throat closed up, and I felt like crying once again. I had been crying a lot lately, and still having tears surprised me. I turned to see where he went, hoping it was Jack and not a product of my imagination. However, as I looked in his direction, he disappeared mid-step, as if he had never existed. Maybe she was going insane seeing people she wanted to see, it wouldn't be the first time it happened, in fact, she could recall that this happened many times when she lost her mother Jackie, and her husband Theta.
I was devastated, and tears filled my eyes. I was so tired of being lonely and hoping to talk to someone or get answers, only to have my hopes dashed. I wished I could be numb or angry, but I wasn't sure which would be better. I longed to be with my Theta. Why couldn't we be together as we had promised?
Jacks POV
As I was on my way to the step that would take me down to the hub I felt someone with me. It reminded me of when you know there is a perception filter yet you're still unable to see past it, like it was just a shadow in the corner of the eye.
Still, right now I wouldn't worry about that at least not now. Now we had a case and with it being only three of us in the hub now it often feels quieter and emptier than it used to be. We were also almost constantly spread thin. Yet I couldn't help it my curiosity was getting the better of me and I continued to go over what could possibly want to watch me, Gwen's voice had interrupted my train of thought. I came over to her computer where I saw a red alert which meant some kind of rift activity was happening or a report that matched alien life was made "What is it?" I asked her.
"Weevil sighting"
"Where?"
"2 miles from here. Jack, there's something else. A man reported that a woman was attacked by what appeared to be a man in an animal mask, the woman's injuries were fatal. The location of the attack was near where we got the initial alert of the sighting."
"Ok Gwen get the car ready, you and me are going weevil hunting. Ianto I need you here on comms and at the computer, update us on anything that could be related."
"Yes, sir"
I want to mention @laiastoran_nxrry
Thank u for being there for me
